2022 개정 미술과 교육과정 ‘미적 체험’ 영역의 교과서 적용 방안에 대한 연구: 초등학교 3⋅4학년군을 중심으로

국문 초록

2022년 12월 2022 개정 교육과정이 고시되었다. 새로운 교육과정이 고시되면 이에 맞추어 새로운 교과서 개발이 시작되기 마련이다. 새로운 교육과정의 성공적인 현장 안착을 위해 현장 교사들을 위한 연수나 자료를 배포하는 것은 당연하나 전 교과를 가르치는 초등 교사 입장에서 모든 과목의 교육과정을 분석해서 매 차시별로 수업을 준비하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 이런 상황에서 교과서는 교육과정을 실천적 차원에서 활용할 수 있는 주요한 도구라고 본다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 오랫동안 유지되어온 미술과의 세 영역인 미적 체험, 표현, 감상 영역 중 타 영역과의 경계가 불분명하고 현장에서 적용하기 어렵다고 여겨지는 미적 체험 영역을 새로운 미술 교과서에서 어떻게 풀어나가야 할지 연구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정에 근거한 미술 교과서에서 체험 영역에 속하는 단원을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정의 미적 체험 영역을 어떻게 교과서에 반영할 수 있을지 그 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정의 미적 체험 영역은 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정의 체험 영역과 비교하였을 때 융합적 접근에 대한 비중은 줄고 학습자의 성찰을 강조한 점, 미술과에서 길러야 하는 바람직한 가치와 태도가 추가된 점, 특정 감각을 사용할 수 없는 학습자를 위해 별도의 활동을 구성하도록 한 점 등의 차이가 있으므로 새로 개발될 교과서의 미적 체험 영역 관련 단원은 새롭게 추가된 성취기준과 관련한 활동을 추가할 것, 학습자의 성찰을 위한 단계적 안내를 제시할 것, 미술과와 관련된 가치와 태도를 육성할 수 있는 교수⋅학습 및 평가 방법을 제공할 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The 2022 Revised National Curriculum was announced in December 2022. When a new curriculum is announced, the development of new textbooks will begin accordingly. It is natural to operate a teacher training program or distribute materials for teachers to settle the new curriculum to educational field successfully; however, it is practically impossible for elementary school teachers to analyze the curriculum of all subjects and prepare classes every time. In this situation, textbooks are used as a major tool that can apply the curriculum at a practical level. Therefore, this study attempted to study how to apply the aesthetic experience areas that are considered unclear and difficult to apply in the field among the three areas of art—aesthetic experience, expression, and appreciation. To this end, we analyzed the units belonging to the experience area in the art textbook based on the 2015 Revised National Art Curriculum and sought ways to reflect the aesthetic experience area of the 2022 Revised National Art Curriculum in art textbooks. The aesthetic experience area of the 2022 Revised National Art Curriculum was different from the experience area of the 2015 Revised National Art Curriculum, emphasizing learner’s reflection, adding desirable values and attitudes to be cultivated in art, and creating separate activities for learners who cannot use certain senses. Therefore, we suggest that the new art textbook adding activities related to newly added achievement standards, providing step-by-step guidance for learners’ reflection, and providing teaching and learning methods to foster values and attitudes relate to art.
