영문 초록

The study aims to investigate if access for lowincome students to selective colleges has improved over the past eight years. The researchers used a longterm data source from IPEDS and applied multilevel models to analyze the data. The findings reveal that the number of lowincome students in higher education has risen, but at a slower pace in selective institutions compared to less selective ones, leading to underrepresentation of lowincome students in selective institutions. The study highlights the need for addressing access issues.
