사회적 상호작용이 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향: 서울시 강북지역 중학생을 대상으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 노인 인구의 증가에 따라 미래 고령화사회의 부양 의무자가 될 청소년들과 노인 간의 상호 긍정적 인식이 필요하며, 이에 두 세대 사이의 사회적 상호작용이 청소년의 노인에 대한 지식과 태도에 어떠한 영향력을 끼치는가 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법: 중학생 384명을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 후 신뢰도검사, 인구통계학적 변수에 대한 빈도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 통하여 연구 변인간의 관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 중학생의 노인에 대한 유의한 부정적인 인식(17.7%)이 있고 노인과의 교류 경험과 공감력은 성별, 종교, 주 성장지, 경제 수준에 따른 유의한 차이는 없으나(p>.05) 노인 세대를 좋아하는지로는 교류경험(F=23.603, p<.001)과 공감(F=20.753, p<.001)에서 차이를 보이고 거주지 1km 노인시설은 교류경험에 차이(F=3.110, p<.05)가 나타났다. 노인에 대한 지식과 태도는 종교, 주 성장지, 경제 수준은 유의한 차이가 없고(p>.05) 노인 세대를 좋아하는지로는 지식(F=47.186, p<.001)과 태도(F=9.115, p<.001)에 차이가 있으며, 지식은 여자가 남자보다 높게 나타났다.(t=-2.578, p<.05) 노인에 대한 태도는 교류 경험과 공감에 정적 상관관계를 나타내고, 노인 지식과 태도는 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 결론: 교류 경험과 공감이 높을수록 노인에 대한 지식과 태도는 높아지므로 청소년에게 사회적 상호작용을 할 수 있는 기회를 많이 제공해야 한다. 청소년들이 교육이나 자원봉사활동 등 상호적 작용을 통하여 노인 세대가 같은 시대를 함께 살아가는 협력적 관계임을 인식할 수 있도록 제도 마련과교육이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objective : As the elderly population increases, there is a need for mutual positive perceptions between young people and the elderly, who will become obligated to support in an aging society in the future. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out how the social interaction between the two generations affects the knowledge and attitude of adolescents toward the elderly. Methods : After surveying 384 middle school students, the relationship between study variables was analyzed through a reliability test, frequency analysis of demographic variables, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results : There was a significant negative perception of the elderly, and there was no significant difference in exchange experience and empathy with the elderly according to gender, religion, main growth area, and economic level, but there was a difference in liking the elderly generation, and 1km of residential elderly facilities. Knowledge and attitude toward the elderly showed no significant difference in religion, main growth area, and economic level, and there was a difference in liking the elderly generation, and in the case of knowledge, there was also a difference by gender. Attitudes toward the elderly showed a positive correlation between exchange experience and empathy, and knowledge and attitudes toward the elderly showed a positive correlation. Conclusion : The higher the exchange experience and empathy, the higher the knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. Therefore, more opportunities for social interaction should be provided to the youth. It is necessary to establish a system and education so that young people can recognize that the elderly generation is a cooperative relationship that lives together in the same era through interactive interactions such as education or volunteer activities.
