국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 구성주의적 관점에서 유아의 ‘생각하는 힘을 기른다’는 의미를 고찰하는 데 있다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 생각, 생각하는 힘, 생각하는 힘을 기른다는 의미를 어의적 차원에서 이해하고, 유아동시와 동시, 그림책 등 유아문학에 나타난 유아의 생각하는 힘 기르기에 대해 알아보며, 나아가 OECD의 학습나침반 등 21세기 교육지향과 포스트모더니즘적 관점에서 생각하는 힘 기르기에 대한 요구와 특성을 살피며, 유아 및 놀이중심의 국가적 유아교육 지향을 실천함에 있어서 생각하는 힘 기르기와 연관된 윤리적 태도에 대해 성찰함으로써, 구성주의적 관점에서 유아의 생각하기, 생각하는 힘을 기르기 위한 이론적 기초를 제시하고자 하였다. 구성주의적으로 접근함이란 인류 보편적 관점에서 각각의 문화적 차이를 구별하고, 복잡한 세상의 다양한 정보를 찾고 사실을 밝히려 노력하는 자세이다. 적합하고 필요한 근거를 확보하며 자신의 관점과 선택을 반성하고 성찰할 때, 그리고 유아, 또래, 동료, 교사와 학부모가 공유하는 공간 내에서 서로의 이해와 요청에 귀 기울이는 윤리적 태도를 갖출 때, 구성주의적 접근의 생각하는 힘 기르기가 성취될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reflect on the meaning of ‘developing the power to think’ with a constructivist approach. Specifically, this study attempts to understand the meaning of “thinking”, “the power to think”, and “developing the power to think”, while also examining the thinking power of children as expressed in children’s literature such as poems, poetry, and picture books for a younger audience; additionally, the study aimed to evaluate the demands and characteristics of developing the power to think from a 21st-century perspective such as the OECD’s Learning Compass as well as postmodern perspective. The study also sought to reflect on ethical attitudes associated with the cultivation of thinking power in the practice of the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum and set out a framework under a constructivist approach for teachers and young children in early childhood education as to support the development of thinking and thinking power. Overall, these findings are expected to serve as a guide for early childhood teachers as to provide educational support for young children’s play while developing their ability to think and their thinking power. Constructivist approach implies attitude to tell cultural differences from human universal views, and to search for various information and find out real facts. The power to think with constructivist approach will be developed when we gather appropriate and necessary grounds and reflect and introspect our own aspects and selections, and when young children, peer, colleague, teachers, and parents share ethical attitude to listen to each other’s understandings and needs.
