국문 초록

‘피스티스 크리스투‘(ΠίστιςΧριστοῦ, 그리스도의 믿음/신실함)는 짧은 구절 이지만 믿음으로 말미암는 의, 그리스도의 삶의 의미와 목적, 구원의 본질과 책임, 제자도 등의 바울신학의 정수를 이해하는 데에 중요한 역할을 한다. 특히 이 논쟁 은 인적 작인(human agency)이 ‘피스티스 크리스투‘의 능동적 행위자인지, 혹은 수동적 수용자인지, 아니면 둘 사이의 어떤 다른 입장을 취하고 있는지를 결정한 다. 본 연구는 ‘피스티스 크리스투‘(롬 3.22-26, 갈 2.16, 20; 3.22, 빌 3.9) 논쟁의 두 해석방법인 목적격적 읽기와 주격적 읽기에대한 근거를 간략히 분석하고, 새로 운 주해적 접근법인 신적, 인적 작인(作因, agency)과 그 역할을 중심으로한 본문 구조화를 통해 이 난제에 대한 해결책을 제시하며, ‘피스티스 크리스투‘의 주격적 읽기의 정당성을 확인한다. 또한 그 결론으로부터 도출되는 ‘믿는 것’에 대한작인 적 함의를 제시한다.

영문 초록

ΠίστιςΧριστοῦ (‘faith of Christ’) is a short phrase, but heavily significant to understand the essence of Paul’s theology vastly including the righteousness/ justification by faith, the meaning and purpose of the Christ-event, the nature/responsibility of salvation and the discipleship of believers, and especially the agency issue whether the human agency is an active doer of ‘πίστις Χριστοῦ’ or a passive receiver, or somewhat between depending on the understanding. This study briefly analyses the foundational rationales on both subjective and objective views and suggests a solution to this conundrum with a fresh exegetical approach on the πίστιςΧριστοῦ texts (Rom 3.22-26, Gal 2.16, 20; 3.22, Phil 3.9) by structuring the texts especially focusing on the divine and human agency and their roles in the context supporting the objective view. Then it evaluates the consequent implications regarding agency issue of ‘believing’.
