국문 초록

본 연구는 기독교인의 성역할 고정관념, 사회자본, 여성 리더 수용 및 리더십 기대 간의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 기독교인 320명(남:135명, 여:185명)을 대상으로 성역할 고정관념 척도, 사회자본 척도, 변혁적-거래적 리더십 척도, 여성 리더 수용 질문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별, 연령, 학력, 거주지, 직책에 따라 성역할 고정관념, 사회자본 및 리더십 기대에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 여성 리더 수용 여부에 따라 성역할 고정관념에 유의 한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 성역할 고정관념과 사회자본 간에는 유의한 부적 상관이, 성역할 고정관념과 변혁적 및 거래적 리더십 기대 간에는 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회자본과 변혁적 및 거래적 리더십 기대 간에도 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 넷째, 성역할 고정관념과 사회자본은 리더십 기대를 유의하게 설명하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 교회 성장과 여성 리더십 개발을 위해서 교인들의 성역할 고정관념을 줄이고 사회자본을 확대할 필요가 있다는 점을 제시 했다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyze the relationships between gender role stereotypes, social capital, acceptance of female leaders, and leadership expectation among 320 Christians (135 males and 185 females). The survey was conducted using the Gender Role Stereotype Scale, Social Capital Scale, Transforma- tional-Transactional Leadership Scale, and Acceptance of Female Leaders Questionnaire. The major findings are as follows. First, there were significant differences in gender role stereotypes, social capital, leadership expectation according to gender, age, educational background, region, and position in church. Second, there was a significant differences in gender role stereotypes according to acceptance of female leaders. Third, there was a significant negative correlation between gender role stereotypes and social capital, and significant positive correlation between gender role stereotypes and transformational-transactional leadership expectation. And there is a significant positive correlation between social capital and transformational-transactional leadership expectation. Fourth, gender role stereotypes and social capital significantly explained leadership expectation. The results are meaningful in that they suggest that it is necessary to reduce gender role stereotypes and expand social capital for church growth and women's leadership development.
