국문 초록

본 연구는 푸코의 파놉티시즘의 관점으로 미술 수업에서 이루어지는 담화를 분석하여 학생들의 적극적인 미술 수업 참여를 억압하는 관습적인 측면을 살펴보는 데 있다. 담화의 분석 대상은 초등학교 6학년과 3학년의 미술 수업 중 발생한 대화이다. 담화 분석에 대한 접근 방법으로는 대화분석 방법과 상호작용 사회언어학 방법을 활용하였으며, 교사와 학생 간의 대화와 학생과 학생 사이의 대화를 분석하였다. 담화 분석의 결과. 교사와 학생 사이의 담화는 ‘질서와 규율에 종속’, ‘이원적인 구분과 특성의 표시’로 범주화할 수 있었고, 학생 간의 담화를 분석한 결과 ‘일반화한 감시와 시선’, ‘보여지고 있다는 사실의 의식화’로 범주하였다. 학생들은 미술 수업 시간에 타인의 시선을 스스로 의식하고 있었고, 이는 창의적 표현과 자율성을 방해하는 요인으로 작용하였다. 교사는 미술 수업에서 학생들이 미술에 대한 확장된 개념을 형성하고, 다양성을 이해할 수있도록 지도하여 좌절의 위기를 극복하도록 노력해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study is to analyze the discourses in art classes from the perspective of Foucault s panopticism and to examine the conventional aspects of suppressing students active participation in art classes. The subject of discourse analysis is conversations that occurred during art classes in 6th and 3rd graders of elementary school. As an approach to discourse analysis, conversation analysis method and interaction sociolinguistics method were used, and conversation between teachers and students and conversation between students and students were analyzed. Discourses between teachers and students could be categorized as subordination to order and discipline and dualistic distinction and characteristics . As a result of analyzing discourses among students, they were classified as generalized surveillance and gaze and consciousness of the fact that they are being seen . Students were aware of others gaze in art class, which was a factor that interfered with creative expression and autonomy.Teachers should try to overcome the crisis of frustration by instructing students to form an expanded concept of art and understand diversity in art classes.
