음악 중초교사제도에 기반한 통합교사 양성제도 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2000년대 초반에 실행된 음악 중등교사자격증 소지자의 중초교사 교원 양성과정과 지난 20여 년 동안 중초교사의 초등교육 적응 과정을 탐구함으로써, 초등과 중등의 통합교사 양성제도에 대한 이해와 시사점 제공을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 현재 초등학교 재직 중인 교사 8명을 대상으로 중등 음악교사자격증을 소지하고 초등교사로 임명된 중초교사 4명과 교육대학교 졸업 이후 초등교사로 임명된 초등교사 4명으로 하였다. 연구를 위해 중초교사 제도의 관련 문헌들을 분석하여 집단심층면접을 위한 인터뷰 문항들을 개발하고, 중초교사와 교대졸업 초등교사 집단으로 나누어 온라인 비대면 집단심층면접(FGI)을 시행하였다. 인터뷰는 음악 기록의 전체 전사 과정을 거쳐 질문과 답변 내용을 맥락적으로 분석하여 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과 초중등 통합교사 양성제도에 대한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합교사 양성제도는 행정편의 중심이 아닌 교육 현장의 실태를 기반으로 실행되어야 한다. 둘째, 통합교사 양성제도는 교원 양성을 위한 교육 시간과 교육 수준의 균형이 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 초등교사와 음악전공 중등교사의 상호 교사 역량에 대한 인식 차이를 위한 노력이 필요하다. 넷째, 통합교사 양성제도는 사회적 동의를 전제로 학교급 간 교사 자격과 교육 수준에 대한 갈등이 없도록 교육의 전문성과 계열성을 고려한 운영이 이루어져야 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data and information on the integrated teacher training system, which is currently planned by the Ministry of Education by investigating cases of the dual-licensed elementary music teacher system conducted in the early 2000s. Focus group interviews(FGI) were conducted on four dual-licensed elementary school teachers with secondary music teacher certificates and four elementary school teachers. As a result of the study, the implications for the operation of the integrated teacher training system for elementary and secondary schools are as follows. First, the integrated teacher training system should be implemented according to social consensus based on the actual condition of the educational field, not the center of administrative convenience. Second, the integrated teacher training system should ensure that the educational time and education level for teacher training are balanced. Third, institutional efforts are needed to change the difference in perception of the mutual teacher competency between elementary and secondary school teachers majoring in music. Fourth, the integrated teacher training system should be operated in consideration of the expertise and sequence of education so that there is no conflict between school-level teachers qualifications and educational levels on the premise of social consent.
