국문 초록

본 논문은 최근 문화예술교육 분야를 넘어 예술치료 및 상담 분야에 이르기까지 그 고유한 문화예술 교육적 가치를 주목받고 있는 한국 그림책과 그림책 예술 장르의 지난 30년의 과정을 체계적으로 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 지난 30년 동안에 그림책 분야와 관련된 사람들의 그림책에 대한 관점과 변화를 고찰해 봄으로써, 앞으로의 문화예술교육의 방향과 미래 전망을 제시해 보고자 하였다. 새로운 문화예술 장르의 출현과 성장은 역사적 사회문화적 배경에 영향을 받는 동시에 그 시대를 사는 사람들의 필요와 욕구를 반영한다. 그러므로 지금의 한국 그림책이 어떤 심리 사회적 맥락 속에서 발전을 이루었는지를 파악하는 것은 그림책 예술장르의 발전뿐 아니라 문화예술교육의 측면에서도 의미 있는 일이 될 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 창의적 산물의 생성과정에 대한 모델인 칙센트미하이의 체계모델접근(systems model approach)을 적용하였다. 즉 ‘개인(individual)’과 ‘분야(field)’와 ‘영역(domain)’ 세 체계의 관점에서 한국 그림책 분야와 그림책 장르의 변화 과정을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 한국 그림책 30년은 ‘개인’과 ‘분야’와 ‘영역’ 각 체계 내에서의 변화와 세 체계 간의 역동적 상호작용에 기인한 것임을 알 수 있었다. 창의적인 산물로서의 그림책과 그림책 예술 장르 분야의 발전은 그림책 작가 개인뿐 아니라 그림책을 평가하고 활용하는 단체와 사람들, 그리고 이 과정들에서 축적된 그림책의 상징체계와 지식의 축적을 통해 커다란 유기체처럼 작동 변화 발전되는 것임을 확인할 수 있었다. 논의에서는 한국 그림책의 현재와 이를 기반으로 한 그림책 예술 장르의 확장이 가져올 수 있는 다양한 함의를 문화예술교육의 측면에서 조망해 보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process of the past 30 years in the field of Korean picture books and picture books art genres, which have recently attracted attention from the field of art therapy and counseling. In particular, by examining the perspectives and changes of people related to the picture book field over the past 30 years, researcher tried to present the direction and future prospects of culture and arts education in the future. The emergence and growth of new cultural and artistic genres are influenced by historical, socio-cultural backgrounds and at the same time reflect the needs and desires of those living in that era. Therefore, understanding in what psychological context the current Korean picture books have developed in will be meaningful not only in the development of the picture book art genre but also in terms of culture and arts education. To this end, in this study, the system model approach, which is a model for the creative product creation process, was applied. In other words, the process of changing the Korean picture book field and picture book genre was analyzed from the perspective of the three systems of individual , field , and domain . As a result of the study, it was found that it was due to changes within each system of individual , field , and area , and dynamic interactions among the three systems. It was confirmed that the development of picture books and picture book art genres as creative products is not only the individual picture book writers, but also organizations and people evaluating and utilizing picture books, and the accumulation of picture book symbol systems and knowledge accumulated in these processes. In the discussion, various implications that can be brought about by the present of K-picturebooks and the expansion of the art genre based on them were viewed in terms of culture and arts education.
