쓰기평가에 대한 연구 및 검사도구 특성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 쓰기검사에 대한 연구 동향과 쓰기검사도구의 특성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 총 19편의 논문이 분석 대상으로 선정되었으며, 내용분석을 실시하였다. 연구 동향에 대한 분석 결과, 쓰기검사 연구는 대부분 2015년 이후에 이루어진 것으로 나타났으며, 쓰기검사 영역은 작문과 철자 연구가 다수를 차지하였다. 또한, 연구대상은 대부분이 초등학생이었으며 초등학교 저학년을 대상으로 한 연구의 비율이 높았다. 검사도구 특성에 대한 분석 결과, 첫째, 글씨쓰기(handwriting) 검사는 대체로 단어 혹은 문장을 보고 따라쓰는 방식이었으며, 채점은 정확하게 쓴 음절수로 하였다. 둘째, 철자(spelling) 검사는 검사자가 들려주는 단어 혹은 문장을 듣고 맞춤법에 맞게 받아쓰는 방식이었다. 그러나 문항과 채점방식은 검사자가 측정하고자 하는 내용에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 작문(written expression) 검사는 그림-단어를 보고 문장을 쓰는 방식과 서두를 읽고 글을 쓰는 방식이 가장 많았다. 채점은 총 음절 수, 올바르게 철자한 음절 수, 총 어절 수, 올바르게 철자한 어절 수, 올바르게 이어진 어절 수 등 다양한 방식으로 이루어졌다. 넷째, 각 검사도구별로 자주 사용된 신뢰도와 타당도 유형을 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 연구결과를 중심으로 한 논의와 향후 검사도구 개발에 대한 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the research trends of writing assessment and the characteristics of writing assessment. A total of 19 studies were selected for content analysis. The results of research trends showed that most studies of the writing assessment were conducted since 2015, and the majority of the components of writing skills were written expression and spelling. In addition, subjects of most studies were elementary school students, especially first and second grade students. The analysis of the characteristics of the assessment resulted in four findings. First, the handwriting test was based on copying presented words or sentences, and scoring was done by the total number of syllables correctly. Second, the spelling test was performed by dictation of words or sentences. However, the items and scoring methods differed depending on the purpose of the examiners. Third, in the written expression test, writing sentences with picture-word stimulus and writing texts with story prompt were the most common. Scoring was done according to various criteria including a total number of syllables written, syllables spelled correctly, a total number of words written, words spelled correctly, and correct word sequence. Fourth, the types of reliability and validity frequently used for each measure were presented. Finally, a discussion on the results of this study and future directions for assessment development were presented.
