국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 느린 학습자와 경계선 지적장애 및 학습장애를 구별하는 지능적, 학업적 특징을 기반으로 느린 학습자 집단의 집단 분류를 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기 지역의 느린 학습자로 의뢰된 초․중등학생 49명을 대상으로 2021년 2월부터 3월까지 지능검사인 BLCT와 읽기, 수학 학습성취를 측정할 수 있는 BASA를 실시하였다. 학생 검사를 실시하는 동안 학부모나 기관 담당자 인터뷰도 함께 실시하였고, 검사 관찰자 보고와 인터뷰 내용은 집단 분류의 근거로 활용되었다. 연구 결과, 지적장애와 학습장애의 진단기준을 바탕으로 느린 학습자를 기능적 지적장애 위험군, 경계선 지능, 학습곤란, 학습장애 위험군, 전형적 경계선 지능 위험군의 5개 하위 집단으로 분류하였다. 또한, 관찰자 보고와 인터뷰 내용을 활용하여 하위집단별 독특한 학업적, 행동적 특징을 구분하여 제시하였으며, 결과에 따른 지원방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to classify the sub-groups of slow learners based on intelligent and academic characteristics that distinguish among slow learners, borderline intellectual functioning and learning disabilities. To this end, BLCT and BASA were conducted on 49 elementary and middle school students suspected of borderline intellectual functioning and slow learners. During the student test, interviews with parents or institutional officials were also conducted, and the report and interview contents of the test observer were used as the basis for group classification. As a result of the study, the slow learner subgroup was classified into five groups based on the diagnostic criteria for intellectual disability and learning disability: functional intellectual disability risk group, borderline intellectual functioning, learning difficulty, learning disability risk group, and typical borderline intellectual functioning risk group. The characteristics of each group according to the results and support plans were discussed.
