국문 초록

본 연구는 정서중심적 부부치료(Emotionallly Focused Couple Therapy: EFT)를 적용한 부부미술치료가 암환자와 배우자의 부부관계 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 유방암 환자와 배우자인 A 부부이며, 부부미술치료는 주 1회 90-110분, 총 12회기동안 실시하였다. 측정도구로 사용한 지각된 부부관계 척도(Three couple scale), 삶의 질 척도 검사(FACT-G, FACT-GP)를 사전, 사후, 추후 실시하여 비교하였고, EFT 치료 과정에 따른 부부의 행동 및 태도 관찰 내용을 연구 결과에 반영하였다. 연구의 결과 EFT를 적용한 부부미술치료는 유방암 환자와 배우자의 부부관계와 전반적인 삶의 질에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부부의 상호작용 태도 이면의 숨겨진 정서에 접근하여 애착 욕구의 관점으로 재구성하는 작업을 통해 부부의 상호작용이 변화되고, 부정적 고리에서 긍정적인 고리로 재조직화되어 정서적인 결합을 맺어가는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 부부미술치료에서 EFT의 적용 가능성을 확인하고, 암환자와 배우자를 대상으로 처음으로 시도된 부부미술치료 연구로서의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of couples art therapy applied with emotionally focused couple therapy (EFT) on the marital relationship and quality of life of a breast cancer patient and their spouse. The subjects of this study were a breast cancer patient and spouse A. Marital art therapy was performed once a week for 90-110 minutes, for a total of 12 sessions. Three Couple Scale and Quality of Life Assessment (Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General Population) were used as measurement tools and were compared in advance, post, and later periods, and the couple s behavior and attitude were observed according to the EFT treatment process were as reflected in the study results. The results of the study showed that marital art therapy with EFT had a positive effect on the marital relationship between the breast cancer patient and spouse and their overall quality of life. In addition, by approaching the hidden emotions behind the couple s attitudes during interactions and reorganizing them from the perspective of attachment needs, it was confirmed that the couple s interactions had changed, reorganized from negative to positive, and they formed emotional bonds. Based on these research results, the applicability of EFT in marital art therapy was confirmed, and the significance and limitations of the first marital art therapy study attempted for cancer patients and spouses are discussed.
