유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육역량과 양육불안이 분노 표현에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니가 자녀양육 과정에서 나타내는 분노 표현에 대한 양육역량과 양육불안의 영향 여부와 그 상대적 영향력을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 6개 어린이집과 유치원에 자녀를 보내고 있는 어머니 219명이며 이들은 양육역량척도, 양육불안척도 및 부모분노척도에 응답하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 Pearson의 상관분석과 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 어머니의 양육역량과 분노 표현 간에는 부적 상관이, 양육불안과 분노 표현 간에는 정적 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 전반적으로 어머니의 양육역량과 양육불안은 분노 표현의 유의한 변인이었으며 양육불안의 상대적 영향력이 더 컸다. 양육역량 및 양육불안의 하위요인의 영향력은 분노 표현의 하위요인에 따라 다소 달랐으나, 전체적으로 자녀와의 애착 및 자녀 염려 관련 양육불안은 공통적인 영향 요인이었다. 본 연구의 결과는 양육불안이 분노 표현에 미치는 기제에 대한 추후연구와 부모 분노 감소를 지원하는 부모교육프로그램의 개발에 관한 시사점을 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the effects of parenting competence and anxiety on maternal anger expressed in the process of child rearing and their comparative influences. Subjects were 219 mothers with young children attending 6 child care centers and kindergartens. They responded to 3 rating scales, the Authentic Parental Competence Scale, Parenting Anxiety Scale, and Parental Anger Scale. Data were analyzed by Pearson’s correlation and step-wise multiple regression. The results were as follows. First, there were significant negative correlations between parenting competence and parental anger but positive correlations between parenting anxiety and parental anger. Second, overall, parenting competence and anxiety were significant variables in parental anger, and parenting anxiety had greater influence than parenting competence. Although the sub-variables of two independent variables showed different impacts on the sub-variables of parental anger, the anxiety-related sub-variables about attachment with children and development of children were common influence variables. The implications for future study of the mechanism of parenting anxiety influencing parental anger and development of parent support programs pursuing to decrease parental anger were discussed.
