국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 사회정서역량과 의사소통능력이 직무만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고 사회정서역량과 직무만족의 관계에서 의사소통능력의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 이를 위해 현직 유아교사 289명을 대상으로 사회정서역량, 의사소통능력, 직무만족에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 자료는 SPSS WIN 24.0을 활용하여 빈도, 백분율, Cronbach’s α 계수를 산출하고 Baron과 Kenny의 절차에 따라 매개효과검정을 위해 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 유아교사의 사회정서역량과 의사소통능력은 직무만족에 유의한 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 사회정서역량과 직무만족의 관계에서 의사소통능력은 매개변인의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아교사의 직무만족을 높이기 위한 방안으로 사회정서역량과 함께 적절한 의사소통능력을 증진시킬 수 있어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social-emotional competency and communication ability on job satisfaction of early childhood teachers and to analyze the mediating effect of communication ability on the relationship between early childhood teachers󰡑social-emotional competency and job satisfaction. For this purpose, we conducted a self-reported questionnaire survey of 289 early childhood teachers to investigate theire social-emotional competency, communication ability, and job satisfaction. The frequency, percentage, and Cronbach’s α coefficient were calculated using SPSS WIN 24.0, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis and Sobel test were performed according to the procedure of Baron and Kenny. As a result, first, social-emotional competency and communication ability of early childhood teachers had a significant effect on job satisfaction. Second, communication ability was found to have a partial mediating variable in the relationship between social-emotional competence and job satisfaction of early childhood teachers. These results suggest that it is necessary to improve social-emotional and communication skills in order to increase the job satisfaction of early childhood teachers.
