국문 초록

원격의료는 COVID-19 위기 동안 서비스를 유지하기 위한 전략으로 미국에서 소아과 및 작업 치료사에 의해 빠르게 채택되고 있다. 이 관점은 원격의료의 구현을 지원하기 위한 이론과 실천의 혼합된 관점을 제시한다. 비록 연구 증거가 막 등장하고 있는 상황이지만, 원격의료는 효과적이라고 믿을 만한 충분한 징후가 있다. 우리는 다양한 원격의료 전략(예: 화상 회의, 이메일, 전화 통화, 온라인 프로그램)을 사용하여 특정 개입 목표를 해결하는 방법에 대해 논의한다. 원격의료를 사용하는 치료사의 코멘트와 다양한 맥락과 모집단에서의 실천 사례가 제공된다. 우리는 대면 또는 온라인 개입 제공 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인뿐만 아니라 새롭게 채택된 원격의료 관행이 미래의 하이브리드 서비스 제공 모델 및 프로그램에 어떻게 포함될 수 있는지에 대해 논의한다. 원격의료는 의료 위기에 대한 대응으로 빠르게 구현되었으며, 만능 의료서비스가 아니지만, 장애 학생 가족을 가장 잘 지원하기 위해 서비스의 접근성, 비용 효율성 및 가족 중심성을 높일 수 있는 좋은 기회를 제공한다고 제시된다. 현재 한국에서는 의사들의 집단이기주의로 인해 원격의료서비스가 제한되고 있지만 취약계층에 대한 의료서비스에 대한 논의와 준비를 통해 교육복지 향상에 기여하기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Telehealth is being rapidly adopted by physical and occupational therapists in pediatrics as a strategy to maintain services during the COVID-19 crisis. This perspective presents a mix of theoretical and practice perspectives to support the implementation of telehealth. Although research evidence is just emerging, there is sufficient indication to believe telehealth is effective. We discuss how different telehealth strategies (e.g. videoconferencing, emails, phone calls, online programs) are being used to address specific intervention goals. Comments from therapists using telehealth and examples of practices in different context and with different populations are provided. We discuss how newly adopted telehealth practices could be included in future hybrid service delivery models and programs, as well as factors influencing the decision to offer face-to-face or online interventions. Although telehealth has been implemented quickly as a response to a health care crisis, and is not a one-size-fits-all intervention, we believe it offers great opportunities to increase the accessibility, cost-effectiveness and family-centredness of our services, to best support families of students with disabilities. Currently, telehealth services are restricted in Korea due to collective selfishness of doctors, but it is expected to contribute to the improvement of educational welfare through discussions and preparations for medical services for the vulnerable.
