국문 초록

본 연구는 Mandelbaum의 생애사 분석방법으로 초기개입 미술치료를 경험한 탈북 후기청소년의 삶의 과정과 남한정착 초기에 개입된 미술치료의 의미를 이해하는 것이다. 미술치료는 2019년 1월부터 2021년 3월까지 주 1회 60분으로 총 70회기가 진행되었으며 심층 면담은 2021년 2월부터 6월까지 80분씩 4차례 이루어졌다. Mandelbaum의 자료 분석 틀인 삶의 영역, 전환점, 적응에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 삶의 영역은 ‘북한에서 부모님과 함께한 유년기의 삶’, ‘엄마의 부재와 새로운 가정 안의 아동․청소년기의 삶’, ‘중국에서 다시 만난 엄마’, ‘도망자의 삶...힘겨운 타향살이’, ‘북한과 같은 듯 다른 남한’, ‘남한에서의 새로운 삶과 미래를 그림’으로 6개, 전환점은 ‘엄마의 탈북’, ‘어려운 선택...탈북’, ‘심리학을 만나다.’, ‘남한 적응 초기를 함께 한 미술치료’, ‘대학입학’으로 5개였으며, 적응은 과거, 현재, 미래로 나누어 ‘과거 불편했던 기억들과 직면하기’, ‘적극적인 참여와 감사의 현재’, ‘미래를 준비하고 연습하는 시간’ 3개로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 탈북민의 남한정착과정에서 심리적 외상의 예방으로의 초기개입과 장기간 미술치료를 통해 사회적응을 함께하였다는 것에 의미가 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study focused on the late focused on North Korean late adolescents who experienced early intervention art therapy and the meaning of art therapy intervention in the early settlement period in South Korea using Mandelbaum s life history analysis method. There was a total of total of 70 therapy sessions asting 60 minutes each once a week from January 2019 to March 2021, and 80-minute in-depth interviews were conducted four times from February 2021 to June 2021. According to Mandelbaum s data analysis framework that encompasses life area, turning point, and adaptation, the study results were are as follows: The realms of life are “Childhood life with parents in North Korea,” “Absence of mother and life of children and adolescents in a new home,” “Mother I met again in China,” “Life of a fugitive... a difficult life abroad,” “A sense of alienation in South Korea,” and “Dream a new life and future in South Korea.” The turning points are “Mother s escape from North Korea,” “Difficult choice... evacuation,” “Meet the psychology,” and “Art therapy in the early days of adaptation to South Korea and college study.” Adaptation was analyzed in three categories: “Facing uncomfortable memories of the past,” “The present of active participation and gratitude,” and “Time to prepare and practice for the future.” The study results show that North Korean defectors initial intervention in the prevention of psychological trauma and their social adaptation through long-term art therapy in the process of settling in South Korea are meaningful. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study are discussed.
