비판 정치 트윗글의 언어 사용 분석

국문 초록

대표적인 사회적 소통망의 하나인 트위터는 정치에 최적화되어 있다. 한국어 트위터에는 강한 정치적 지향성을 가진 이용자들이 많고, 다수의 트윗글이 정치적 내용으로 작성된다. 이 연구는 ‘비판 정치 트윗글’을 대상으로 언어 사용 특징과 전략을 살펴보는 것이 목적이다. 비판 정치 트윗글의 유형은 ‘직설적 비난형, 사실 적시형, 소문 전달형, 의문 제기형, 비꼼형’의 다섯 가지며, 직설적 비난형이 가장 큰 비중을 차지한다. 비판 정치 트윗글의 언어 사용을 분석한 결과, 욕설과 비속어, 부정적 평가어와 부사어, 차별 및 비하 표현, 다양한 목적의 변형 표현, 그리고 안높임말과 이름 가리킴말 사용이 잘 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다. 비판 정치 트윗글의 사회언어학적 배경으로는 게시자 성별 면에서 남성 69명, 여성 31명으로 남성이 여성보다 2배 이상 많아서 남성이 비난 정치 트윗글 작성을 주도하는 것으로 나타났다. 비판 대상이 된 정치인 가운데 이재명 경기 지사가 31%를 차지했고, 정치 성향 면에서는 친여 성향의 누리꾼이 92%를 차지했다. 이 연구는 비판 정치 트윗글이라는 새로운 텍스트 갈래를 대상으로 한 첫 연구라는 점에서 의의가 있다. 정치 홍보와 선전이 트위터, 페이스북과 같은 사회적 소통망을 통해 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 상황에서 이 유형의 트윗글은 앞으로 더 늘어날 것이다. 그만큼 비판 정치 트윗글의 언어와 내용이 누리꾼들에게 끼치는 영향은 커지게 될 것이며, 따라서 꾸준한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Twitter, one of the representative SNS, is optimized for politics. Korean Twitter has many users with strong political orientation, and many tweets are written in political content. The purpose of this study is to examine the language elements, strategies of language use, and sociolinguistic backgrounds of the criticized political tweet as the object of analysis. The results of analysis are as follows. There were five types of critical tweets related to politics: bluntly criticizing, describing facts, conveying rumors, expressing doubts, and making sarcastic remarks. As a result of analyzing the characteristics of language elements, centering on the criticized political tweet, it was confirmed that abusive language and slang, words for negative evaluation, discriminatory and derogatory expressions, transformational expressions with different purposes, and disrespect forms were well used. According to an analysis of the sociolinguistic backgrounds of critical tweets related to politics, in terms of the gender of Twitter users, there were 69 men and 31 women among 100 users. Men are more than twice as women. Among the politicians criticized, Governor of Gyeonggi Province Lee Jae-myung accounted for 31%, the highest percentage. In terms of political orientation, 92% of netizen were pro-government. This study is significant in that it is the first study on a new text called the criticized political tweet. Such tweets are expected to increase further in the future at a time when political publicity and propaganda are actively carried out through SNS such as Twitter and Facebook. As such, the impact of the language and content of critical tweets related to politics on netizen will increase, and research on them is needed steadily.
