놀이를 활용한 표현 수업이 초등학생의 학급 소속감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업이 초등학생의 학급 소속감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 A 시에 위치한 B 초등학교 5학년 남학생 10명과 여학생 14명, 24명을 실험집단으로, 남학생 11명과 여학생 13명, 24명으로 통제집단으로 연구 대상을 선정하였다. 실험집단에게는 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업을, 통제집단에게는 책을 읽고 토론하는 활동을 창의적 체험 활동 동아리 시간을 이용하여 5주간 주 2회, 40분씩 총 10차시 실시하였다. 본 연구의 방법으로 사전, 사후 검사지를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 t검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업에 참여한 실험집단의 학급 소속감이 향상된 반면 참여하지 않은 통제집단은 오히려 학급 소속감이 하락하여 학급 소속감 변화 정도에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업에 참여한 실험집단은 실험 전보다 학급 소속감이 향상되어 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 이와 같이 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업은 초등학생의 학급 소속감에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업이 학급 소속감을 높이고 더 나아가 학교생활의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 프로그램으로서도 활용 가능함을 보여준다. 앞으로 초등학생을 비롯한 많은 학생들이 놀이를 활용한 표현 수업 참여를 통해 학급 소속감을 느끼며 즐거운 학교생활을 할 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find out how expression classes using play affect elementary school students sense of belonging to the class. For this study, 10 fifth-grade boys, 14 girls, and 24 students from B Elementary School in A-si were selected as experimental groups, and 11 boys, 13 girls, and 24 students were selected as controlled groups. For the experimental group, expression classes using play were conducted 10 times a week, and for the control group, reading books and discussing activities were conducted twice a week for 5 weeks and 40 minutes. The data were collected through pre-and post-inspection papers as a method of this study, and t-verification was conducted using the SPSS program for data analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, while the experiment group that participated in the expression class using play improved its sense of belonging to the class, the control group that did not participate had a significant difference in the degree of change in the class sense of belonging. Second, the experimental group that participated in the expression class using play had a significant difference as the sense of belonging to the class improved than before the experiment. As such, expression classes using play had a positive effect on elementary school students sense of belonging to the class. These results show that expression classes using play can be used as a program that can increase the sense of belonging to the class and further increase the satisfaction of school life. In the future, we hope that many students, including elementary school students, will be able to enjoy their school life with a sense of belonging to the class through participation in expression classes using play.
