국문 초록

이 연구는 도석인물화의 조형적 특성을 연구 분석하여, 교육대학교 미술실기 수업의 인물화 제작 지도에 이를 적용하는 연구이다. 동양회화 장르에서 독특한 위치를 차지하고 있는 도석인물화 전반에 대한 학생들의 이해도를 높이고, 한국화의 표현능력을 향상시킴으로써 후일 초등학교 현장에서의 미술교육에 실제적인 도움을 주고자 한다. 도교에 있어 노자와 장자의 무위자연사상과 불교의 선사상에 바탕을 두고 발전한 도석인물화의 대표작가 김명국, 심사정, 김홍도, 양해, 목계의 작품들은 백묘법, 감필법, 발묵법, 신선한 채색 등의 기법으로 제작한 수묵화와 수묵담채화로 대별된다. 따라서 이 두 가지 양식의 인물화를 효과적으로 제작하는 방안을 모색하고 지도한 결과, 학생들은 한국화의 다양한 기법과 조형성을 이해하고, 얼굴 형태의 특징적 모습과 각 부분의 세부묘사, 표정 등에서 각기 기량에 알맞은 표현방법으로 창조적인 인물화를 제작하였다. 앞으로 산수화나 화훼화 등 다른 장르에도 다양한 한국화의 기법들을 적용하는 효율적인 지도방안에 대한 지속적인 연구들이 필요하다고 생각한다.

영문 초록

This is a study on how to analyze the plastic characteristics of Taoist and Buddhist figure painting and apply its result to the teaching of figure painting creation in fine arts practice class of a teachers college. This is part of my endeavor to provide some practical help to fine art education at an elementary school level in the future by enhancing the level of students overall understanding of Taoist and Buddhist figure painting that occupies a unique position in Oriental painting genre, especially through an enhancement of representative capability in figure painting. The works of such masters in Taoist and Buddhist figure painting that developed from the naturalist philosophy of Laotzu and Chuangtzu and the Zen thought as Kim Myong-guk, Sim Sa-jeong, Kim Hong-do, Liang Kai, and Mu Shi can be classified into two groups, the ink-and-wash painting and the ink-and-light color painting that are created using Backmyo, Gampil, Balmuk, Molgol, and fresh light-color techniques. Accordingly, an effort was made on my part to devise means to create figure painting of these two styles effectively and teach the know-how so gained to students. The result shows that the students understood diverse techniques and the plasticity of Korean painting, and were able to create original figure painting using representation methods that are appropriate to their individual capability in rendering characteristic features of facial shape and detailed description of body parts and facial expression. In the future, it seems that on-going studies are needed in other genre such as landscape or flower painting regarding effective teaching methods employing the techniques of Korean painting.
