국문 초록

본 연구는 현대 사회에서 디자인의 역할이 점점 강조되는 가운데, 초등디자인 교육을 통해 어린이들의 문제 해결력을 신장시키고 창의적 사고의 폭을 넓혀 주기 위한 목적으로 출발한다. 초등학교에서 진행되는 디자인 수업은 교사에 따라 수업 시간 배분이나 밀도가 크게 차이가 나고, 상당수의 교사들은 디자인 교육의 중요성은 인식하나 방법 면에 있어서 그에 합당한 교육을 하지 못하고 있다는 것을 안다. 학생들 또한 아이디어 발상에 어려움을 느끼고 있으며, 디자인 수업에 큰 관심과 흥미를 느끼지 못하고 있는 것으로 보여 지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 TRIZ 기법을 초등 디자인 지도에 적용하여 아이디어 발상을 돕고 창의적인 디자인 교육 방법을 제시하는데 의의를 두고 있다.

영문 초록

To solve problems in a creative manner, it s important to see things and images around in a new light, and design education especially requires creativity, which is a means for children to come up with and embody a new idea. As design itself is a process to solve problem situations that one faces in daily routine life, the education circles put emphasis on design education. The TRIZ technique is a sort of creative problem-solving methodology into which common creative problem-solving principles and specific problem- solving principles for particular types of problems were incorporated. First, visual perception materials were utilized to let the students understand the concept and principles of the TRIZ, and a variety of unique cases of the application of the TRIZ were presented to stir up their interest in conceiving an idea of design. Second, they analyzed the given problems to see if there would be any contradiction in the problems to find an ideal solution, and they engaged in sketching to refine their idea. Third, the ideal solution they found was visualized, and they thought about what materials and method would make it possible to express the ideal solution effectively. And then they designed based on the solution by utilizing the materials and method they found. Fourth, they gave a presentation on their design and verified it to check the effect of their idea on problem solving.
