고등학생의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석: 경기교육종단연구(GEPS)를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 고등학생의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 학생 수준과 학교 수준으로 구분하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기교육종단연구(GEPS) 7차년도 데이터를 활용하여 총 352개교, 고등학교 1학년 학생 4,567명을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 분석을 위하여 위계적 선형모형(HLM)을 활용하였으며, 학교적응 종속변인은 친구적응과 교사적응의 하위 요인으로 구분하였고 독립변인은 학생 수준과 학교 수준으로 나누어 위계적으로 투입하였다. 분석 결과, 학생 수준에서는 성별, 자아존중감, 자기효능감, 부모의 합리적 양육태도가 학교적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 학교적응의 하위요인으로 친구적응과 교사적응의 영향요인이 유사한 것으로 분석되었으나 친구적응에서는 여학생인 경우, 교사적응에서는 남학생인 경우 영향을 미치는 것으로 차이가 드러났다. 한편, 학교 수준에서는 혁신학교여부, 설립형태, 교사협력정도에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향이 있는것으로 분석되었다. 학교적응의 하위요인인 친구적응과 교사적응에서는 공통적으로 혁신학교 여부가 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고 설립형태와 교사협력정도는 교사적응에서만 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 고등학생들의 학교적응을 높일 수 있는 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore factors that affect high school students adaptability by categorizing them into student and school levels. Overall 352 schools and 4,567 high school students were involved in the study, which use data from the Seventh Gyeonggi Education Panel Study (GEPS). A hierarchical linear model(HLM) was employed for analysis; school adaptability was categorized into sub-factors of students friend and teacher adaptabilities; and independent variables were segregated into student and school level and analyzed hierarchically. According to the analysis, the factors influencing the school adaptability of high school students were gender, self-esteem, self-efficiency, and parenting attitude at the individual level. As a sub-factor of school adaptability, it was analyzed that the factors affecting students friend and teacher adaptabilities were similar, although there were differences in the factors affecting female students in students friend adjustment and male students in teacher adjustment. At the school level, innovation schools, co-education, and teachers cooperation were factors that had a statistically significant infulence on school adaptability. In terms of students friend and teacher adaptabilities, which are sub-factors of school adaptability, innovation schools had a positive effect in general. There was a difference between the type of establishment(co-education) and the degree of teacher cooperation that had a significant effect only on teacher adjustment. Based on these findings, this study highlighted the implications for high school students to improve their school adjustment.
