국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 수준에서 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 아동의 다문화 이해와 인식향상을 위한 미술교육프로그램의 개발의 필요성에서 시작되었다. 오늘날 국제화된 우리나라의 현실은 세계인들과 동일한 공간과 시간 속에서 더불어 살아가야하는 시대임을 보여준다. 이에 따라 다문화 이해의 바탕이 되는 포용과 관용의 정신을 위한 다문화 교육은 오늘의 학교교육에서 중요한 화두가 되었다. 우리 교육현장에서 다문화 교육은 이미 15년을 넘어서고 이에 따른 프로그램의 개발과 적용 역시 어느 정도 갖추어진 상황이다. 하지만 다문화 교육의 양적인 완성도에 비해 실제 현장에서 아동들의 다문화 이해도와 인식은 부족한 것이 현실이다. 이는 기존의 연구가 다문화 아동중심의 동화주의적 관점의 다문화 교육이었다는 점에서 단편적인 미술접근 방법론이라는 한계점을 지니고 효율성을 갖지 못했음을 보여준다. 이에 본 연구는 다문화 아동을 포함한 모두를 위한 다문화인식 향상을 위한 다양한 프로그램의 개선에 주목하고 조형놀이활동을 통한 다문화 미술교육프로그램을 모색하였다. 이러한 프로그램의 기대효과는 기존의 단조롭고 정적인 미술 수업 방식을 벗어난 새로운 미술교육프로그램으로 아이들에게 주체적인 판단과 자율적인 문제해결력을 동기화하면서 흥미롭고 다양한 접근 방법을 유도함으로써 미술 수업을 보다 즐겁고 생동감이 넘치는 수업이다. 본 연구의 ‘다문화인식 향상을 위한 미술교육프로그램’은 수원시 S초등학교 2학년생을 대상으로 12주간 적용하고, 수업에 참여한 아동들의 설문을 통해 프로그램의 교육적 효과를 관찰하였다. 이와 같이 개발된 다양한 문화 이해를 위한 미술교육 프로그램을 통해서 이제까지의 다문화 교육의 한계를 극복하고 효과적인 다문화미술프로그램의 선례에 기여한다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의를 찾고자 한다.

영문 초록

The goals of this study are to search the development and effect of the multi-cultural educational art program applied to the art play activity regarding to the children’s understanding and perception of multi-culture which is possible to approach easily by the child level. Nowaday represents the day we must get along with foreigners outside country in the daily life of the contemporary society which is in the same time and the same place. And the multi-cultural education which is for the spirit of the generosity and tolerance which is the background for understanding and acception of multi-cultural traits turn to be very important issue in the school. In the education field of school the multi-cultural education has been over 15 years since it was applied to school, and the multi-cultural education art program is the circumstance full of developing and appling them to the education field to the number. However, compare to the number of the study, the reality is not enough for students in school to get the understanding and perception of multi-cultural traits. It is caused that the existing study has the limitation of the multi-cultural educations which is in the context of assimilation and of the educational method in fragment, and is not effective to the educational field. In that sense, this study is focusing on the reform for the various art program for the all student not only multi-cultural children, on the new art education program through the art activity of playing. This program is also the developing art education program which gets out of the programs existing method which is just boring and in fragment, and it expects that the children could enjoy themselves to the class in the program cheerfully and lively by means of motivating to their class.
