국문 초록

본 연구는 제4차 산업혁명의 시대에 요구되는 상상력이 무엇인지 이해하고 이를 개발하기 위한 미술교육의 역할을 새롭게 정립해봄을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 차세대 혁신 융·복합 기술의 영향력 하에 변화될 일상의 모습과 관련하여 인류에게요구되는 상상의 내용이 무엇인지 밝힌다. 둘째, 상상력의 교육적 가치가 높아지므로상상력과 밀접하게 연관되는 미술교육 내 교육과정 문서상에서 상상력과 관련된 기술내용이 어떠한지를 분석하며, 학생들이 미술교육에서의 상상력에 관해 지니고 있는 인식을 알아보기 위한 실태 조사를 수행한다. 셋째, 이를 종합하여 제4차 산업혁명의 시대에 요구되는 상상력 개발을 위한 미술교육의 역할을 ‘상상을 통한 아이디어 발현 기회 강화’ 및 ‘미술을 통한 상상 경험 체계화’로 제안하는 바이다. 반복될 수 있는 모든일은 기계로 대체될 수 있다는 제4차 산업혁명의 시대에 기계로는 대체할 수 없는 인간의 고등 정신 능력으로서의 ‘상상력’은 불가능해 보일 법 한 가능성마저도 떠올려보게 하는 ‘변화를 추구하는 지향성’이다. 미술을 통한 상상은 주체로 하여금 대상의 본질을 직관적으로 통찰하여 심미적인 정서를 고양하고 긍정적인 변화의 지향성을 발견하게 한다. 따라서 제4차 산업혁명의 시대를 맞이하여 미술교육은 새 시대에 적합한상상력이 풍부한 인재 양성을 위해 그 중추적인 역할을 해나갈 수 있다. 그러므로 이에 관련된 구체적인 방안을 마련하기 위한 학계의 활발한 논의가 요구되는 바이다. 본연구는 그에 관한 구체적인 대안을 제안하고 있다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the imaginative power required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and reconstruct the role of art education to develop it. In the pursuit of this purpose, first, the study reveals what the imagination required for mankind is related to the appearance of everyday life that will change under the influence of next generation innovation, fusion, and hybrid technology. Second, as the educational value of imaginative power increases, the study analyzes how the contents related to imaginative power are related to the curriculum documents in art education closely related to imagination to conduct survey to understand students’ perception about imaginative power in art education. Third, in summary, this study proposes the role of art education for imaginative power development required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution as ‘strengthening opportunity of idea development through imagination’ and ‘organizing imagination experience through art’. In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, in which everything that can be repeated can be replaced by a machine, the ‘imagination’ as a higher mental capacity of human beings, which can not be replaced by a machine, is the ‘direction to pursue change’ that reminds us of the possibility which looks impossible. Imagination through art makes the subject intuitively insight into the essence of object, enhance aesthetic emotion and find direction of positive change. In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, therefore, art education can play a pivotal role in fostering talented people with imaginative power which is suitable for the new era.
