국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 각 시대별 교육과정 및 교과서의 내용, 그리고 조선교육회의 교육잡지에 실린 투고기사를 바탕으로 1895-1945년에 걸친 초등회화의 변천 과정을 고찰하는 것이다. 당시 교육과정 및 교과서의 변천에 따른 초등회화의 변천을 제시함과 동시에, 또 한편으로 미술수업을 가능하게 했던 초등미술교과서의 내용과 조선교육회 발행 교육잡지에 초등미술과 관련된 투고기사를 통해 실제로 초등학교에서 미술 수업이실시된 정황을 바탕으로 초등회화의 변천을 고찰했다. 이러한 자료에 근거한 연구 결과는 1895년부터 1906년까지는 도화과(圖畫科)의 도입에 해당되며, 1907-1921년까지는 임화(臨畫)교육의 시대였으며, 1922-36년까지는 자유화(自由畫)교육의 시대였으며, 1937-45년까지는 사상화(思想畫)·사생화(寫生畫) 교육의 시대로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This research aims at considering the changes that took place in elementary school drawings from 1895 to 1945 based on the curriculums, fine arts textbooks, and articles published in educational journals by Chosun Educational Association. The methodology focused on examining historical findings in fine art elementary school classes from that time in order to consider historial changes in elementary school drawings. Accordingly, research data were from the elementary fine arts textbooks that were available for the fine arts classes and the articles relevant to elementary school arts in educational journals by Chosun Educational Association. The results of this research were: the Introduction Era of the Dowha Class from 1895 to 1906; the Educational Era of Imhwa from 1907 to 1921; the Educational Era of Jayuhwa from 1922 to 1936; the Educational Era of Sasanghwa and Sasenghwa from 1937 to 1945.
