초등학생 찰흙 표현 활동에서 주제별 입체 표현 전략에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 Golomb의 입체 표현 연구를 살펴보고 이를 기초로 우리나라 초등학생들의 표현 전략과 특징을 분석하여아동의 입체 표현 능력을 깊이 이해하는 데 있다. Golomb는 아동의 인식과 예술 표현 사이의 관계, 3차원 매체의 영향등 아동의 예술 표현에 대해 광범위하게 연구해왔으나 상대적으로 Lowenfeld의 연구에 비해 국내에 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 이에 Golomb의 연구와 비슷한 조건에서 초등학생 77명을 대상으로 여덟 가지 주제에 대한 찰흙 입체 표현 활동을 진행하여 차원성, 직립, 제작 방법, 제작 순서 네 가지 측면에서 분석한 결과, 동일 학생이 주어진 주제의 특징이나 자신의 의도에따라 입체 표현 전략을 달리 선택하기도 하며, 하나의 고정된 전략을 사용하지 않는다는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 그림과 찰흙표현을 비교해봄으로써 3차원 대상의 표현에서 2차원 매체의 제약을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제시된 주제에 따른학생들의 다양한 표현 전략은 미술교과에서 찰흙 입체 표현 주제의 선정과 교수·학습 계획 과정에서 고려되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the studies of Golomb, and based on this, to analyze the strategies and characteristics of Korean elementary school students to deeply understand their three-dimensional representation ability. Golomb has extensively studied children s artistic expression, such as the relationship between children s perception and artistic expression, and the effect of three-dimensional media, which relatively less well known than Lowenfeld s study in Korea. Thus, I designed a field study under similar conditions of Golomb. 8 topics were given to 77 elementary school students, and about 610 results were analyzed in four aspects: dimensionality, uprightness, construction method, and construction sequence. It was found that one student can choose different strategies for representation based on the characteristics of the topic or his/her intention, and does not use one fixed strategy. In addition, the two-dimensional medium had a limitation in representing the three-dimensional object. The various representation strategies according to the topics presented in this study should be considered in the topic of clay three-dimensional representation and teaching plan.
