미술교육 영역으로서 근대미술의 四層構造

국문 초록

현대 미술교육의 내용과 특성을 검토하는 데 있어서 근대 이후 미술계의 동향, 국제화에 따른 자국의 미술 정체성과 전통문화, 미의식 등이 어떤 방식으로 다루어져 왔는가를 확인하는 것은 매우 의미 있는 일이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 근대미술의구조를 시간축과 공간축으로 상정하고 이를 네 가지 층위의 구조로서 파악하였다. 이를 통해 한국과 일본의 미술교육의 내용과 성격을 규정짓는 본원적인 배경 및 요인에 대해 고찰함으로써 향후의 미술교육을 조망하는 데 기초자료를 제공할 것을목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 아시아 근대미술의 구조에 대해 고찰하고, 한국과 일본의 교육과정 변천을 중심으로미술교육의 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 아시아 여러 나라에서 공통항으로 도출된 사층 구조가 한국과 일본의 경우에도적용될 수 있는 바, 근대기 국민국가 형성을 위해 미술교육의 목표에 자국 국민문화의 확립을 포함해 왔으며 이는 향후 정체성과 국제화, 전통과 현대라는 측면에서 민족 고유의 독자성과 상호 공조라는 방향으로 전개되어야 함을 시사하였다. 그러한의미에서도 자국과 자민족의 근현대 미술을 구조화하여 미술교육의 주제와 제재를 탐색하는 작업은 향후의 방향성을 모색하는 데 있어서 의미 있는 일이 될 것이다

영문 초록

In reviewing contemporary art education, it is very important to examine the contents of art education to confirm how the trend of the art world of the country since the modern era, the identity of the art, traditional culture, and aesthetic consciousness of the country are handled according to internationalization. The purpose of this study is to examine the structure of modern art as a time axis and a space axis, to identify it as a structure of four layers, to clarify the contents of art education in Korea and Japan, and to look at art education in the future. For this purpose, the structure of Asian modern art was first examined and the contents of art education were analyzed focusing on the changes of curriculum in Korea and Japan. As a result, Korea and Japan have also included the establishment of their national culture in the goal of art education for the formation of a nation-state in the modern era, which suggests that it should be developed in the direction of mutual cooperation with the national identity in terms of identity, internationalization, tradition and modernity in the future. In this sense, the work of structuring the theme and materials of art education by structuring modern and contemporary art of the country and its own people will be meaningful in seeking future direction.
