국문 초록

이 글은 교육이론과 메타피직스의 관련을 해명하기 위한 연구이다. 보다 구체적으로 본 연구는 오늘날 하나의 독립된 학문분야로 인정받고 있는 메타피직스는 당초부터 독자적 학문으로서 탄생한 것이 아니라, 교육이론을 정립하는 과정에서 그 부산물로 생겨났다는 점을 드러내고자 하였다. 교육이론은 인간이 추구해야 하는 최상의 삶은 무엇이며, 그것을 실현하는 방도는 무엇인가 하는 문제의 해명을 그 본업으로 하고 있으며, 메타피직스는 그러한 교육이론의 근거를 보다 완성된 형태로 제시하기 위한 노력의 결과를 보여준다. 이 글에서 저자는 메타피직스에 관한 플라톤, 아리스토텔레스, 칸트의 견해를 간략하게 고찰하면서, 이 3명의 메타피직스는 교육이론이 해명을 추구하는 질문에 대한 보다 완결되고 정치한 이론적 해명을 제시하기 위한 노력으로 파악될 수 있다는 점, 그리고 그 점에서 온전한 형태의 메타피직스는 교육이론으로서의 성격을 지니게 된다는 점을 드러내고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explicate the relation between the theory of Education and the Metaphysics. Nowadays metaphysics is regarded as an independent discipline, as the technical study on the Reality or Being. but historically speaking, that is not the case. When we scrutinize the emergency of metaphysics from Socrates to Aristotle, we can say that it is in essence not the independent, merely speculative discipline, but the core elements of the theory of good life which is the educational theory per se. Metaphysical concepts as the Form (Plato, Aristotle) and Idea (Kant) is not the abstract one of the speculative discourse, but the metapractical one of the educational discourse which try to answer the questions, such as what is the good life? , How can we realize it? , What is the final end of the pursuit of knowledge? In this viewpoint, it can be argued that metaphysics should recover it’s original nature as the educational theory, and try to investigate on the problems of manifestations and attainments of Idea(or Reality). Rejecting the traditional metaphysics, Kant, in his last critique, could arrive at these problems, but he couldn’t sufficiently elucidate them. If educational theory has its proper metaphysical ground, its discourse has the nature of ‘metapraxis’(praxis of praxis).
