난청학생의 성장 배경에 기초한 가정환경 및 의사소통 방법에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 난청학생의 성장 배경에 기초한 가정환경 및 의사소통 방법을 알아보기 위하여 조사연구로 수행되었다. 전국의 37개 대학교에 재학 중인 청각장애학생 중에서 본인이 난청학생이라고 인식하는 262명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 난청학생의 부모 중에서 청각장애가 있는 부모는 1.5%이며, 건청부모에 의해 성장한 경우는 94.7%에 해당하였다. 부모 중에서 한 분이라도 청각장애가 있는 경우는 5.3%이며, 부모가 수어를 못 하는 경우가 95.4%가 되었다. 형보다는 동생이 있는 경우가 많으며, 언니 또는 여동생이 있는 경우는 약 19%와 18%가 되었다. 둘째, 난청학생이 가족과 사용하는 의사소통은 구어였다. 그러나 수어를 사용하는 청각장애 또래와 의사소통하기 위해서는 필담을 가장 많이 사용하였다. 의사소통 실행기능 평가에 대한 자아 인식에서 난청학생은 건청 또는 구어 사용 청각장애 또래와는 높은 만족도를 보였지만, 수어사용 청각장애 또래와는 절반 수준의 이해를 보였다. 이 연구에서는 난청학생의 교육적 지원방안을 탐색하기 위한 시사점을 제안하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was investigated to conduct research on home environment and communication method based on growth background of students with hard of hearing. Among the hearing impaired students attending 37 universities across the country, 262 students who perceived themselves as students with hard of hearing were analyzed. The results of the study were that: First, 1.5% of parents with hearing impairment among the parents of the students with hard of hearing, and 94.7% of those was hearing parents. Of the parents, 5.3% had hearing impairment, and 95.4% were hearing. There were more young brothers than elder brothers, and about 19% and 18% were of elder sisters or young sisters respectively. Second, the communication that the student with hard of hearing uses with family was spoken. However, in order to communicate with the hearing impaired peers using sign language, the most popular method was writing. In the self-recognition of communicative perspective-taking, students with hard of hearing showed high satisfaction with hearing peers or hearing impaired peers who use spoken language, however showed a half-level understanding with hearing impaired peers who use sign language. This study suggests implications for exploring educational support for students with hard of hearing.
