포용적 미술관에서 포용적 가치 실현을 위한 방안으로서의 문화예술교육 연구

국문 초록

오늘날 국공립 및 공공 미술관은 공공의 사회적 기관으로서 사회와 밀접한 관계를 맺으며 사회적 역할을 확대해나가고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 변화와 함께 새로운 공동체들을 위한 참여와 교류의 장으로 기능하고자 하는 미술관에 주목하고 뮤지엄의 사회적 역할 확대를 위한 방안으로 국외에서 논의되고 있는 포용적 박물관(Inclusive Museum) 개념으로 국내 미술관의 방향과 적용의 영역을 찾아보았다. 이를 실현함을 위한 장치를 문화예술교육에 두고, 미술관에서 포용적 가치실현을 위한 방안으로 문화예술교육의 가능성을 확인하고자 하였으며 나아가 문화예술교육의 의의와 목적을 반영한 다양한 형태의 사회 참여적 미술관 프로그램의 필요성을 논의하였다. 포용적 미술관과 문화예술교육에 대한 이해를 통해 포용적 미술관과 문화예술교육은 그 맥락을 같이 하며 비슷한 지향점을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 문화예술교육은 예술의 사회적 역할 확장에 따른 실천으로 미술관의 포용적 가치 실현을 위한 매우 중요한 장치이자 방향임을 확인하였다. ‘포용적 가치’를 중요하게 인식하고자 하는 미술관 운영의 변화와 ‘문화예술교육’을 통해 미술관은 다양한 공동체들과 관계하며 그들과 더욱 밀접하게 연관될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 사람들은 문화 예술을 향유하고 참여함으로써 자신과 자신을 둘러싼 사회를 이해하고, 참여하는 시민으로서의 성장을 통해 공동체성을 함양함으로써 건강한 사회 구성원으로 존재할 수 있게 될 것이다.

영문 초록

Today, national and public art museums are expanding their social roles by closely connecting with society as public social institutions. Along with these changes, this study focused on art museums that want to function as a venue for participation and exchange for new communities, and looked into the direction and application of domestic art museums with the concept of an Inclusive Museum being discussed outside the country as a measure to expand the museum s social role. It put the device to realize this in culture and art education, and intended to confirm the possibility of culture and art education as a way to realize inclusive values in art museums. Furthermore, it discussed the need for various types of socially participatory art museum programs that reflect the significance and purpose of culture and arts education. Through an understanding of the inclusive art museum and culture and art education, it was found that inclusive art museums and culture and art education shared the same context and had a similar directing point. It also confirmed that culture and arts education is a practice based on the expansion of the social role of art and is a very important device and direction for realizing the inclusive value of art museums. Through changes in the operation of art museums and culture and art education , which are important to recognize inclusive values , art museums could be related with various communities and more closely associated with them. By enjoying and participating in culture and arts, people will understand themselves and the society surrounding them. Furthermore, by growing up as participating citizens and fostering community, they will be able to exist as healthy members of society.
