학교 현장의 세계시민교육(GCED) 평가 방안 마련을 위한 기초 조사 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교현장에서 이뤄지고 있는 세계시민교육의 평가 방식 사례 조사를 토대로 학교현장에서 세계시민교육에 대한 타당한 평가를 실행할 방안을 마련하기 위한 기초 자료 획득에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 2가지 연구 과제를 실행하였다. 첫째는 21세기 세계시민교육에서 지향하는 목표는 무엇인지, 목표에 기반한 평가는 무엇이어야 하는지를 살펴본다. 둘째는 학교 현장에서 행해지고 있고 평가방식은 무엇인지를 살펴보기 위해 2개의 초등학교 평가방식사례를 조사하였다. 이를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 이끌어 내었다. 첫째, 세계시민교육은 일반교과 교육에서 요구하는 지식, 기능, 가치, 태도 중심의 평가 방식 이외에 더 적극적인 실천을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 역량 함양의 목표를 갖고 있다. 그러므로 세계시민교육의 평가에서는 지식, 기능, 가치와 태도, 행동의 통합적 교육과 그에 따른 역량 평가가 요구된다. 둘째, 세계시민교육 연구학교를 실행하고 있는 2개 초등학교의 세계시민교육 평가 방식 사례 조사 결과에 의하면, 평가방식은 지식, 태도, 행동 등 여러 영역에 대한 평가와 학습자의수행 과정과 결과 중심의 평가 방식이었다. 이러한 변화는 지식, 태도, 가치, 행동, 그리고 기술을 포함한 역량을 평가하기 위한 환경 조성의 면에서 의미있는 변화라고 할 수 있다. 셋째, 세계시민교육은 21세기 기술로서 횡단적 역량을 요구하고 있으나, 학교현장에서는 역량 평가에 적절한 평가 방법을 적용하는 데 어려윰을 겪고 있다. 그리고 이에 대한 지원을 요청하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study is to acquire basic data to prepare for assessment method of global citizenship education at primary schools. To this end, two research tasks were conducted. First, what is the goal of the 21st century global citizenship education and what should be the assessment method based on the goal. Second, two cases of primary schools were investigated to examine what is the assessmet method. Based on this, the following conclusions are drawn. First, GCED has the goal of cultivating the competences to lead more active practice in addition to the assessment method based on knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes required in general academic-curriculum. Therefore, in the assessment of global citizenship education, integrated education of knowledge, function, value and attitude, and behavior and the assessment method of competency accordingly are required. Second, according to the results of the case study on the assessment method of global citizenship education in two primary schools that are conducting the global citizenship education research school, the assessment method was based on the evaluation of various areas such as knowledge, attitude, and behavior, and the evaluation method based on the performance process and results of the learner. These changes are meaningful in terms of environment creation to evaluate competencies including knowledge, attitude, value, behavior, and technology. Third, the global citizenship education requires transversal competence as 21st century skills, but it is difficult to apply the appropriate assessment method for the competences at schools. And they are asking for support for this.
