학교 부적응 초등학생의 미술치료 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학교 부적응 초등학생의 미술치료 과정에서의 경험과 그 경험의 의미는 무엇인가를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 A시 G연구소에 어머니의 의뢰로 내방한 12세 초등학교 여학생이다. 본 연구에서는 질적연구의 한 방법으로 Clandinin과 Connelly(2000)가 제시한 내러티브 탐구(Narrative Inquiry) 방법론을 사용하였고, 2019년 11월 27일 사전 면담을 시작으로 2020년 2월 8일까지 주 1회, 회기당 90분씩, 총 11회기 동안 미술치료를 실시하였다. 본 연구과정에서 도출된 학교부적응 초등학생의 경험은 ‘답답한 마음을 표현할 수 있었어요’, ‘나를 알아보고 싶어요’, ‘변화를 연습했어요’, ‘미술치료 시간은 상처를 치유하는 시간이었어요’로 구성되었다. 이러한 경험을 바탕으로 학교 부적응 초등학생의 미술치료 경험의 의미는 ‘나를 수용하다’, ‘세상으로의 첫걸음을 떼다’, ‘세상 속으로 들어가다’의 총 세가지로 범주화되었다. 본 연구는 학교 부적응 초등학생의 미술치료 경험으로 학교부적응 초등학생에 대한 관심과 관련 연구의 필요성을 알리고 그들의 삶과 경험을 이해할 수 있는 기초 임상자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out what the school maladjusted elementary students’ experience in the art therapy process and the meaning of the experience is. The participant of this study was 12-year-old elementary school girl who visited the G Research Center in A City at the request of their mother. This study used the narrative exploration (Narrative Inquiry) methodology proposed by Clandinin and Connelly (2000) as a method of qualitative research, and beginning with the preliminary interview on November 27, 2019, art therapy was conducted for a total of 11 sessions, once a week, 90 minutes per session, until February 8, 2020. The experience of the school maladjusted elementary school student drawn in the course of this study consisted of I was able to express my frustrated heart, I want to find myself, I practiced my changes, and Art therapy was a time to heal wounds. Based on these experiences, the meaning of art therapy experiences of the school maladjusted elementary school student was categorized into three categories in total: accept me, take a first step into the world, and enter the world. This study is expected to be used as basic clinical data to inform the interest in the school maladjusted elementary school students and the necessity of related research and to understand their lives and experiences with the experience of art therapy of the school maladjusted elementary school students.
