공업계 특성화 고등학교 방과후학교 프로그램에 대한 교사와 학생의 만족도 및 요구 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 공업계 특성화 고등학교 방과후학교 프로그램에 대한 교사와 학생의 만족도 및 요구를 분석하여 공업계 특성화 고등학교 방과후학교의 효율적인 운영을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하는 것이다. 이 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 전국 공업계 특성화 고등학교 교사와 1학년, 2학년 학생을 대상으로 설문지를 이용한 조사연구를 실시하였다. 분석에 활용된 설문지는 교사용 설문지 389부, 학생용 설문지 719이다. 이상의 방법으로 도출된 연구 결과를 바탕으로 이 연구의 결론을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공업계 특성화 고등학교 방과후학교 프로그램 운영에서 교사는 운영 횟수와 시간에 대해 학생보다 더 만족하고 있었으며, 홍보가 잘되고 있다고 생각하고 있었다. 학생은 한 반의 편성 인원수와 방과후학교 프로그램의 반을 나누는 방식에 대해 만족하고 있었다. 둘째, 공업계 특성화 고등학교 교사는 교과 관련 프로그램과 특기·적성 관련 프로그램 내용이 학생들의 수준에 맞게 이루어지고 있다고 생각하고 있었고, 학생도 교사와 같이 교과 관련 프로그램과 특기·적성 관련 프로그램 내용이 자신의 수준에 맞게 이루어지고 있다고 생각하고 있었다. 셋째, 방과후학교 교과 관련 프로그램과 특기·적성 관련 프로그램의 시설 및 교육 환경에 대해서는 교사보다 학생이 더 만족하며 특기·적성 관련 프로그램의 학습 자료 및 실습 도구가 더 잘 갖추어져 있다고 생각하고 있었다. 넷째, 방과후학교 교육 효과에 대한 전체 만족은 학생 보다 교사가 더 높게 나타나 방과후학교의 교육적 이점에 대해서 교사가 학생보다 더 긍정적으로 생각하고 있었다. 또한 교사는 학생보다 방과후학교 프로그램이 학생의 특기 및 소질 계발에 도움이 된다고 생각하고 있었다. 다섯째, 교사와 학생은 방과후학교 프로그램이 일주에 3번 정도 운영되고, 시간은 일주일에 2~3시간 정도 운영되기를 가장 많이 요구하였다. 방과후학교가 운영되는 시간은 정규 수업이 끝난 직후에 시작되는 것을 원하고 있었다. 방과후학교 프로그램이 이루어지는 반은 같은 학년으로 반을 나누되, 학생의 수준에 따라 반을 편성하고, 인원은 20명 미만으로 하여 방과후학교 프로그램이 운영되는 것을 원하고 있었다. 여섯째, 교사와 학생은 교과 관련 프로그램 교육 담당자에 대해 학생들이 다니는 학교의 교사를 원하였다. 하지만 특기·적성 관련 프로그램 교육 담당자에 대해 교사는 전문성을 갖춘 외부 강사에 대한 요구가 많았고, 학생은 우리 학교 교사에 대한 요구가 많아 교사와 학생 간의 요구 차이가 있었다. 일곱째, 교사와 학생은 교과 관련 프로그램과 특기·적성 관련 프로그램이 이루어지는 교육 장소에 대해 우리 학교에서 열리기를 가장 원하고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to present base line data for efficient operation of after school programs in technical-specialized high schools by analyzing satisfaction and demand by teachers and students. To do this, the questionnaire was developed after considering dominant factors through a pilot study. The questionnaire was distributed through the country, including 440 sheets for teachers in technical-specialized school and 880 sheets for 1st and 2nd grade of students who are attending after school system. Among them, 389 sheets for teachers and 719 sheets for students were statistically processed. To publish the result of the research work, SPSSWIN 20.0 was used. The t-test was conducted for comparing and analyzing of satisfaction between the teachers and students. Also, cross-tabulations were conducted for this study. Based on the findings of the study, the major conclusions of this study were as follows : First, the teachers who attend these programs are more gratified by the number of classes and instruction hours than the students in these programs. However, the students are more satisfied with the headcount of each class and how classes are formed than the teachers. Second, both teachers and students in technical-specialized high schools agree that subject-related and specialty and aptitude programs are developed according to students` level. Third, the students are more content with their facilities, educational environment, learning material, and practical instrument than the teachers. Forth, in terms of overall satisfaction concerning educational effectiveness of after school programs, teachers answer more affirmatively than students. Also, they think these programs could help students` specialty and aptitude to be developed. Fifth, both teachers and students want to have after school classes 3 times a week for 2～3 hours weekly. Both of them want do it immediately after regular classes, as well. Sixth, both teachers and students want teachers who are originally working in their school to be the person in charge of subject-related courses. On the other hand, for specialty and aptitude courses, they want to invite outside specialists. Seventh, when it comes to class location, the majority of both of them mostly prefer classes to be run in their own school.
