고등학생 유형 결정요인 탐색: 진로성숙도와 성취도를 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 경기교육종단연구 2차년도(2013) 자료를 활용하여 일반계열 고2 학생들의 학업성취도와 진로성숙도를 동시에 고려하여 크게 4가지 유형(①고성취-고성숙, ②저성취-고성숙, ③고성취-저성숙, ④저성취-저성숙)으로 나눈후, 각 유형별 특성을 살펴보고 더 나아가 학생유형 결정요인을 학생과 학교수준에서 구체적으로 탐색하였다. 분석결과, 성취 수준과 무관하게 ‘고성숙’ 유형에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별, 부모와의 신뢰관계, 자신의 학습이해, 자기주도적 창의성인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 성숙 수준과 무관하게 ‘고성취’ 유형에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별, 가구소득, 부모와의 신뢰관계, 자신의 학습이해, 자기주도적 창의성, 남녀공학, 수업능력이었다. 한편, ‘학생1인당 동아리 수’는 ‘저성취-고성숙’ 유형 결정에 유의한 영향을 미치는 차별적인 요인이었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 토대로 하여, 학생들이 학업성취도와 진로성숙도 측면에서 균형 잡힌 성장을 하기 위해서 학부모와 교원들이 어떠한 교육적 노력을 함께 기울어야 하는 지에 대한 의미 있는 경험적 근거를 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims at investigating the roles of parents, teachers, and schools to help students find their dreams and lead happier lives. Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS) data in 2013 were analyzed to recognize the patterns of the highschool 2nd graders`` career maturity and academic achievement level. According to the patterns, students were divided into 4 groups (①high achievement-high maturity, ②low achievement-high maturity ③high achievement-low maturity, ④low achievement-low maturity). For each group, the determinants of students`` maturity and academic achievement level were identified with the multinominal logistic regression model. The determinants of students`` high maturity were gender, relationship with parents, their understanding of learning, autonomous creativity. These determinants appeared to have a positive effect on the maturity level of the students even with low academic achievement. The study results showed that it is possible for students to encourage balanced growth between the academic and career maturity and lead happier lives through the help of parents and teachers.
