유아 행복척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

본 연구는 만 3∼5세 유아의 행복을 측정할 수 있는 타당하고 신뢰할 만한 척도를 개발하여, 유아의 행복 증진에 기여하기 위한 각종 프로그램 개발 및 연구를 활성화하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 이론적 준거와 실제적 준거를 토대로 유아 행복척도의 구성요인을 추출하고, 예비문항을 개발하였다. 예비문항은 4차에 걸쳐 유아교육학계 전문가, 행복 전문가, 유아교육현장 전문가에게 내용타당도를 검증받았으며, 예비검사를 실시하여 유아 행복척도 최종 시안을 확정하였다. 유아 행복척도 최종 시안에 대한 타당화를 위해 만 3∼5세 유아 410명을 대상으로 본 검사를 실시하였으며 문항양호도, 타당도, 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 유아 행복척도는 자기수용, 대인관계, 가정환경, 가족관계, 긍정정서의 5개 하위 요인, 20문항으로 구성되었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 유아 행복척도는 유아의 응답을 통해 유아의 행복을 측정할 수 있는 자기보고식 척도로서, 유아의 행복을 간편하고 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 타당하고 신뢰할 만한 도구라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study purposes developing a valid and reliable scale for measuring happiness of young children aged 3 to 5 years and promoting the development of various programs that can contribute to improving children s happiness. To this end, constituent elements of ‘the Happiness Scale for Young Children’ were extracted and preliminary questions were developed based on the theoretical and practical criteria of young childrens’ happiness. Preliminary questions were verified for content validity by academic experts, teachers in early childhood education and happiness experts 4 times. Then, a preliminary test was conducted to confirm the final draft of ‘the Happiness Scale for Young Children’. This test was conducted on 410 young children aged 3 to 5 years old to justify the final draft of the scale, and the adequacy, validity and reliability of the questions were verified. As a result, ‘the Happiness Scale for Young Children’ consisted of 5 sub-factors of self-acceptance, interpersonal relations, family environment, family relations, and positive emotions with 20 questions. This study concluded that ‘the Happiness Scale for Young Children’is a self-report scale that is valid and reliable in measuring young children’s happiness accurately as well as simply.
