국문 초록

본 연구는 그림책을 기반 역할극을 활용한 경제교육이 유아의 의사결정력과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 전라남도의 H어린이집 만 5세 유아 30명(실험집단 15명, 비교집단 15명)이었다. 실험집단은 그림책 기반 역할극을 활용한 경제교육 활동에, 비교집단은 실험집단과 같은 그림책을 읽은 후 이야기 나누기 활동에 참여하였다. 연구결과는 의사결정력의 5개 하위영역과 친사회적 행동의 7개 하위영역 모두에서 실험집단 점수가 유의하게 향상한 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 그림책 기반 역할극을 활용한 경제교육이 유아의 의사결정력과 친사회적 행동 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 그림책 기반 역할극을 활용한 경제교육이 유아의 의사결정력과 친사회적 행동 향상에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 보여줌으로써 경제교육의 효과적인 교수-학습 방법을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of economic education using role play based on picture books on young children’s decision making abilities and pro-social behaviors. The participants of this study were 30 five-year-old children attending H preschool in the Jeolla-namdo province. The children were divided into an experimental and comparative group of 15 children each. The experimental group participated in economic education activities using role play based on picture books, and the comparative group had discussion activities using the same book with the experimental group. The results of this study showed that the scores of the experimental group in the five sub-categories of decision-making abilities and seven categories of pro-social behaviors were significantly improved. This strongly suggests that economic education using role play based on picture books has positive effects on improving young children’s decision making abilities and pro-social behaviors. This result is significant in that role play using picture books could be an effective teaching-learning method of economic education.
