부모자녀관계 변인과 청소년 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독과의 관련성에 대한 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 국내에서 발간된 학술지 논문들을 대상으로 메타분석을 실시하여 부모자녀관계 변인과 청소년의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독과의 관련성을 확인하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 긍정적인 부모자녀관계 변인과 부정적인 부모자녀관계 변인 모두 인터넷 중독 및 스마트폰 중독과 작은 효과크기 이상의 관련성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 긍정적인 부모자녀관계 변인은 스마트폰 중독과 관련성이 더 큰 것으로 확인되었고, 부정적인 부모자녀관계 변인은 인터넷 중독과 관련성이 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 조절변인별 효과크기를 분석한 결과 측정도구에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모자녀관계 변인의 하위변인에 따른 효과크기에 대한 차이를 추가적으로 분석한 결과, 긍정적인 부모자녀관계 변인에서는 긍정적 애착이 부모양육태도나 의사소통보다 관련성이 컸고, 부정적인 부모자녀관계 변인에서는 부정적 양육태도가 부정적 의사소통에 비해 관련성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 지금까지 국내에서 보고된 부모자녀관계 변인과 청소년의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독과의 관련성에 대한 연구를 실증적으로 통합하였다는 데에 의의가 있으며, 청소년의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독의 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 부모자녀관계가 효과적인 개입변인이 될 수 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 분석결과들에 근거하여 시사점 및 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study was attempted to analyze the relationship between parent-child relationship variable to youth internet and smartphone addiction through a meta-analysis. First, positive parent-child relationship and negative parent-child relationship on internet and smartphone addiction were both small, and were statistically significant. The positive parent-child relationship was more effective on smartphone addiction, besides negative parent-child relationship was more effective on internet addiction. Second, the effect of moderating variables concerning measuring instrument was statistically significant. Third, the results of additional analyses about the types of parent-child relationship, the positive attachment was larger effective than positive parenting attitude and communication in the positive parent-child relationship. In case of the negative parent-child relationship, negative parenting attitude was larger effective than negative communication. Based on these findings, parent-child relationship were discussed as an important target for intervention that can alleviate internet and smartphone addiction. This study concludes with discussion of its implications and limitations.
