카자흐스탄 빌림혁신학교(BIL)의 플립드러닝 도입 사례연구: 교수-학습 환경 및 학교생활 만족도를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 카자흐스탄 중등학교 맥락에서 플립드러닝 도입이 교수-학습 환경 및 학교생활 만족도에 대한 학생들의 인식에 어떤 변화를 가져 올 수 있는지를 탐색하고자 한다. 빌림혁신학교(BIL)에 재학 중인 8학년에서 10학년사이의 남학생 91명을 대상으로 실험 집단과 통제 집단의 사전, 사후 검사를 분석하여 플립드러닝이 교수-학습 환경 그리고 학교생활 만족도 인식에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실험집단은 7주간 주로 과학 교과목에서 플립드러닝으로 설계된 수업에 참여했고, 같은 기간 통제집단은 전통적인 방법으로 진행하는 수업에 참여하였다. 집단별 분석한 연구 결과, 플립드러닝 수업에 참여한 학생들은 교수-학습 환경에 대한 인식 가운데 교사 지원 , 과제 지향 영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 실험 집단은 통제 집단에 비하여 교사 지원을 더 높게 인식하였으며 과제 지향은 더 낮게 인식하였다. 학교생활 만족도의 경우, 실험 집단은 사전, 사후 검사에서 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았지만 통제집단은 사후 검사에서 학습자의 학교생활 만족도가 떨어졌다는 결과가 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과 향후 새로운 교수-학습 방법을 카자흐스탄 K-12에 도입할 경우에는 새로운 교수-학습 방법에 대한 충분한 오리엔테이션, 학생들이 가용할 수 있는 정보기술 시설 등에 관한 고려사항이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of flipped learning on students perceptions of Teaching-Learning Environment and School Life Satisfaction at Bilim Innovation Lyceums (BIL) in Kazakhstan. For this purpose, pre and post surveys on student’s perceptions of teaching-learning environment and school life satisfaction were conducted on 91 male students in grades 8 to 10 at Bilim Innovation Lyceums (BIL) who were divided into two groups; the experimental group consisting of students who took part in flipped learning classes for seven weeks and the control group consisting of students who experienced the traditional method of classroom instruction during the same period. The results of the study were summarized as follows: First, there was a significant difference in the flipped learning class group in the factors of students perceptions of ‘teacher support’ and ‘task orientation’ so that students who were in flipped learning classes perceived a higher degree of teacher support but a lower level of task orientation than students in the control group. Second, students satisfaction with school life in the control group was somewhat decreased while no noticeable change was found for the students in the flipped learning classroom. Based on these findings, various issues including conducting adequate orientation on the new methods and ICT facilities accessible to students were discussed for K-12 schools in Kazakhstan that would consider utilizing innovative instructional methods in the future.
