‘-답/이/같/하다’ 구성의 어휘주의적 분석

국문 초록

이 글에서는 먼저, 어휘(단어형)을 통사소를 분석하는 어휘주의적 관점에 기초하여, 명사구와 통합하는 ‘답다, 이다, 같다, 하다’를 의존용언으로 분석할 수 있음을 살폈다. 이렇게 보면, 의존용언은 동사구나 절을 논항으로 취하는 것과 ‘답다’ 부류와 같이 명사구를 논항으로 취하는 것의 두 종류로 분류된다. 두 종류의 의존용언은 부정 부사 ‘안’의 수식을 받을 수 없고, 그것들의 논항인 구를 삭제하면 비문이 되거나, 본래 가진 의미에서 꽤 멀어지게 되며, ‘V-기는 {V-다, 하다}’ 구성에 참여한다는 점에서 동일한 모습을 보인다. 그리고 ‘N+답다’ 부류의 구성은 ‘답다’ 부류가 가진 [+의존]의 속성으로 말미암아 일어나는 ‘접어화’로 설명하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we have examined the possibility of analyzing -dap/i/gatt/ha- as dependent verbs, based on the lexicalism which regards vocabulary (word form) as a mimimum syntactic unit. If so, dependent verbs are classified into two kinds, those which take verb phrases or clauses as arguments, and those which take noun phrasea as arguments. We observed that two kinds of dependent verbs have the same appearance in the following grammatical phenomena. (ⅰ) Adverb ani cannot modify them, and (ii) If the phrases as their arguments are deleted in the sentences, the sentences are either ungrammatical, or far from the original meaning, and (iii) they participate in the construction of ‘V-ginun {V-da, hada}.’ And the constructions formed by -dap/i/gatt/ha-‘ are dependent verb constructions in which the dependent verbs take noun phrases as argumens, and the constructions such as N+-dap/i/gatt/ha- are clitic constructions, and they are formed by cliticization due to the attribute [+dependent] of ‘-dap/i/gatt/ha-.’
