국문 초록

본 연구는 장애여성의 사회적 자본의 특성과 고용에 미치는 영향을 검증하며, 장애남성과의 비교를 통해 사회적 자본 변수에서 어떤 성별 차이가 있는지 파악해 보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 사회적 참여와 네트워크에 대한 문항이 포함 된 장애인고용패널 2차 데이터를 활용하였고, 연구방법은 이항로지스틱 회귀방법을 활용하였다. 분석결과 장애여성의 경우 배우자유무, 자격증 유무, 건강상태, 교육기간, 장애등급, 사회적 자본이 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 드러났고, 장애남성은 연령, 교육기간, 배우자유무, 자격증 유무, 건강상태, 장애등급, 사회적 자본이 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 장애남성은 배우자 유무가 가장 영향력이 큰 변수로 나타났으나, 장애여성은 사회적 자본이 취업에 가장 영향력이 큰 변수로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로부터 장애여성의 고용 확대를 위한 사회적 자본 형성 방안과 장애여성을 위해특화된 직업재활정책의 활성화에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines levels of social capital and determining factors of employment among women and men with disabilities. Data are from 4,284 individuals from the Panel Study Survey of Employment for the Disabled in 2009 and analytic procedure included chi-square analysis, t-test and binary logistic regression analyses. Results from analysis based on the total sample indicated that those participants with a spouse, have certificates, better health condition, lower disability levels, lower education, and more social capital were more likely to be employed. When women and men are compared, social capital was found to be an important determinant of employment for women with disabilities; while having a spouse increased the likelihood of employment for men with disabilities. Based on these results, this study suggests vocational rehabilitation policy that amplifies social capital. Efforts to develop employment services and programs in accordance with the characteristics of women with disabilities are required.
