예비 과학교사의 과학철학적 관점 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 예비 중등 과학교사의 과학철학적 관점을 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구의 대상은 국립대학교 사범대학 과학교육과 학생 50명이다. 이 연구는 설문지 조사와 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 이 연구의 결과 예비교사들은 과학지식의 가변성에 동의하는 상대주의적 경향을 나타내었으나 응답자 중 중립적인 견해도 적지 않게 나타났다. 예비교사들은 지식을 습득하고 숙달하는 것보다 방법이나 과정을 아는 것이 더 중요하다고 인식하고 있음을 보였다. 상대주의, 실증주의, 도구주의 등에 대한 응답에서 예비교사의 성별, 전공별, 학년별에 따른 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 앞으로 과학의 본성에 대한 강화가 교육과정에서 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 예비교사들의 과학철학적 관점을 정확히 알아보기 위한 다양한 검사방법을 개발해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the pre-service secondary science teachers views on the philosophy of science. The subjects of this study were 50 students of the Department of Science Education of the College of education at a national university. This study was conducted through a questionnaire survey and interviews. In the results of this study, Most of participants indicated relativistic views that they agreed to the variableness of knowledge. But quite a few participants indicated neutral views. There was not significant difference in the answers to relativism, positivism, and instrumentalism according to the gender, major fields, and grades of pre-service secondary science teachers. Therefore we would need the reinforcement of science-natured program. Pre-service secondary science teachers thought that knowing scientific process or methods was more important than mastering scientific knowledge. We would need to develope the various methods for investigating pre-service secondary science teachers views on the philosophy of science.
