국문 초록

본 논문에서는 학생의 질문하기를 중심으로 하는 정규 수학수업의 모습을 구안하고 그 가능성을 탐색하기 위해 질문 및 질문하기에 대한 일반적인 이론을 바탕으로 수학수업에서 교사의 질문하기의 난점과 근래에 연구되고 있는 학생의 질문하기에 대한 논의들을 살펴보았다. 또, 그 결과 얻어진 시사점을 교육과정에 따른 정규 수학수업에 반영하는 방안으로서, 수업의 도입부에 적절한 질문이 발생될 만한 상황을 제공하여 학생들이 질문하도록 하고 그 질문에 대한 답변으로서 개념을 구성하는 개념도입 방법을 제안하고, 한 학기 동안 진행 된 고등학교 <확률과 통계> 수업사례를 통해 그러한 수업의 가능성을 탐색하였다. 질문이 제기될 만한 상황을 제시받은 학생들은 학습목표에 따라 다루어야 하는 개념을 답변으로 하는 질문이나 그에 근접한 질문을 제기할 수 있었다. 또, 이러한 활동과 함께 서로가 제기한 질문을 나누고 그 배경이나 의도를 공유함으로써 해당 수학개념에 대한 흥미와 이해가 증진될 수 있었다. 한편 그렇지 못한 학생들의 사례를 통해 이 방법의 난점을 논의하고 개선 방안을 모색하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, based on general theories about questions and questioning, I examined the difficulties of teachers’ questioning, and studies on students’ questioning in mathematics lessons. Based on this, I proposed the mathematics lesson following the national curriculum where students ask questions and teachers introduce concepts as an answer to those questions after being presented with appropriate situations in the beginning of the lessons. And I explored the possibilities of such a mathematical concepts introduction through a case of one semester high school mathematics class in . Students who were presented with the situations where questions were likely to be asked could raise suitable or close questions, answers to which questions were the concepts we had to deal with according to our learning goals. With this activity, by sharing the questions raised by each other and sharing their backgrounds and intentions, students’ interest and understanding of mathematical concepts could be improved. On the other hand, the difficulties of this method and improvement plans were discussed through the cases of the students who could not.
