인간중심 집단미술치료가 저소득층 아동의 자아존중감 및 또래관계에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 인간중심 집단미술치료가 저소득층 아동의 자아존중감과 또래관계에 미치는 효과를 알아 보는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 비동등성대조군 전후설계, 유사실험설계이다. 연구대상자는 G시의 8개 아동복지센 터의 저소득층 아이들 75명(각 집단별 25명씩)이었다. 실험집단1은 인간중심 집단미술치료, 실험집단2는 집단미 술치료를 제공하였다. 연구기간은 2014년 12월 15일부터 2015년 4월 24일까지로 실험집단1과 실험집단2에게 각 각 90분씩 16회기의 프로그램을 제공하였다. 자료수집은 프로그램 시작 전과 후에 자기보고형식으로 수집되었 다. 통계분석은 실험집단 1, 실험집단 2와 비교집단의 자아존중감 및 또래관계의 차이를 검증하기 위하여 분산 분석(ANOVA)과 Scheffe로 사후검정 하였다. 또한 질적자료분석은 주제내용분석(thematic content analysis) 방 법에 따라 회기별 진행과정 및 단계별, 개인별 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 실험집단 1, 실험집단 2와 비 교집단의 자아존중감은 통계적 차이가 나타났다(F=31.999, p<.001). 둘째, 실험집단 1, 실험집단 2와 비교집단은 또래관계에서 통계적으로 차이가 나타냈다(F=11.382, p<.001). 셋째, 질적자료 분석 결과 대상자의 자아존중감과 또래관계가 향상되는 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 향후에는 학령기 아동이 아닌 다른 발달 연령의 저소득층 대상자를 위한 인간중심 미술치료를 제공해 볼 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of person-centered art therapy on self-esteem and peer relationships for children of low socioeconomic status. Methods: A quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was conducted. The participants were 75 children of low socioeconomic status at three community children welfare centers in G city. The experimental group 1 received the person-centered art therapy program, and the experimental group 2 received the art therapy, but the control group did not received the program. Data were collected from December 15th, 2014 to April 24th, 2015 through two self-administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Also, the qualitative data analysis was arranged by session through the different stages and individuals according to thematic content analysis. Results: After the intervention, children of low socioeconomic status in the experimental groups 1 and, 2 and the control group reported significant differences in self- esteem (F=31.999, p<.001), and peer relationship (F=11.382, p<.001). Also, in the qualitative data analysis, self-esteem and peer relationship increased by changing art in a positive manner before, during, and after the individual's evaluation. Conclusion: Further study should be done with larger and varied samples to confirm the effects of the person-centered art therapy program for children of low socioeconomic status.
