학교상담자원봉사자의 공감 능력 향상을 위한 집단미술치료 사례

국문 초록

본 연구는 집단미술치료가 학생상담자원봉사자의 공감 능력 향상에 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 실시하였다.연구대상은 S초등학교에 자원한 학생상담자원봉사자이며,연구기간은 2008년 4월부터 2008년 6월까지였고 학교상담실에서 주 1회 10회기 실시되었다.공감 능력을 측정하기 위해 공감 능력 검사를 실시하여 비모수 검정인 Wilcoxon 부호 순위 검증을 실시하였다.공감 능력의 사전․사후․추후 점수를 비교하였으며, 프로그램 단계별 관찰된 학생상담자원봉사자에 의해 표현된 공감을 분석하였다.본 연구의 결과 첫째,공감능력의 향상에 유의미한 변화가 나타났다.하위요소인 인지적 요소는 의미있는 차이가 없었으나 정서적 요소에서는 유의미한 변화가 나타났다.둘째,회기별 관찰에 의해 나타난 공감 표현에서 집단원들의 공감 능력에 긍정적인 변화가 있었다.이는 미술치료 프로그램이 교육이나 강의 등의 인지적 요소에 대한 내용이 부족하였으나 집단미술치료의 미술작업을 통해 정서적 요소가 표현되고,미술작업과 작품,치료자와 집단원들의 직접적인 공감을 경험함으로써 효과가 나타난 것으로 본다.본 연구에서 집단미술치료는 학생상담자원봉사자의 공감 능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나,사례연구로 일반화하기 어렵기 때문에 학생상담자원 봉사자의 공감능력 향상을 위한 시연,게임,교육,토론 등 다양한 방식으로의 접근에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다고 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of group art therapy program on the empathy of school counsel volunteers. The participants of this research were 7 school counsel volunteers who had volunteered to be school counsel volunteer in S elementary school. This program lasted from April, 2008 to June, once a week for 10 sessions at the school counselling room. Research tool was empathy scaleand analyzed by Non parametric Statistics Analysis Wilcoxon signed-ranks Test. Before empathy score was compared with after empathy score and after empathy score was compared with follow-up empathy score. Observed expressed empathies by school counsel volunteers through every sessions were compared. The results of the study were as follows; First, there was the positive change on empathy score. there was little change on the cognitive empathy score and there was the positive change on the emotional empathy score. Second, there was the positive change that observed expressed empathies by school counsel volunteers through every sessions. The group art therapy have lots of benefits that group member could experience empathy through artwork, products, therapists and other members. Group art therapy has positive effectiveness on empathy of school counsel volunteers It is not easy to generalize this study, but the following studies through group art therapy were asked to school counsel volunteers through role-playes, games, education, debates.
