재소자의 길 그림에 나타난 반응특성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 Hanes(1997)에 의해 개발된 길 그림을 적용하여 재소자의 길 그림에 나타난 반응특성을 연구하였다. J시 소재 교도소에 입소한 재소자 182명을 대상으로 교화교육 프로그램의 일환으로 길 그림 명상을 실시하였으며, 재소자들이 참여하여 그린 길 그림을 통해 재소자들의 삶에 대한 평가,미래의 삶의 기대,중대한 선택순간의 유무에 따른 반응특성과 화지구조와 길의 방향을 분석하였다.연구 결과 재소자의 삶에 대한 평가에 따른 전체 분위기,길 느낌,길 모양에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으나,미래의 삶의 기대에 따른 반응특성은 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다.중대한 선택순간의 유무에 따라서 교차로 표현에 차이가 나타났으며,화지구조는 수평구조가 가장 많았고,길의 방향은 ‘아래에서 위로’가 많이 나타났다.따라서 본 연구는 길 그림 명상을 통하여 재소자들에게 자신의 삶에 대해 통찰 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였고,더불어 길 그림에 나타난 반응특성을 통하여 삶의 여정과 관련된 무의식의 다양한 정보를 얻어낼 수 있는 투사적 기법으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to conduct road drawings initiated by Hanes(1997)on prison inmates and to analyze the response properties exposed in their drawings. To achieve the purpose, road drawings were conducted on the182 inmates in a J city jail as a program of edification. Response properties shown in their drawings were analyzed by means of chi-square test: comments on their own life, expectations for future life, response properties of road drawings which are different respectively from either existence or nonexistence for moments of critical choice, as well as structural features of the drawing paper and directions of the roads. The study revealed that according to their comments on life, the atmosphere on the whole, feeling on the road, road shapes show statistically significant differences, depending on their comments upon life, while there is no significant difference in part of expectations for future. Big differences can befound in the intersections the participants drew in the road drawings, depending on whether they have moments of critical choice or not. In the structure of drawing paper, the horizontal form out numbers ot her ones overwhelmingly, while the up-ward from the bottom is occupied for the most part in the directions of road. In the conclusion, road drawings have provided the in-mates with the opportunity for the insight into their life.In addition,it can be used as a projective method for drawing various information related to the journey of life from response properties in the road drawings.
