색채치료가 뇌졸중환자의 심리적 증상에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 뇌졸중 환자에게 색채치료프로그램을 적용하였을 경우 심리적 증상에 어떠한 변화를 보이는지 알아보고자 하였다.연구대상은 뇌출혈로 수술을 받은 지 적어도 6개월이 지나고 현재 지속적으로 재활치료를 받고 있는 환자 14명을 대상으로 하였고,뇌졸중 환자의 심리적 증상을 파악하기 위해 간이정신진단검사 (SCL-90R)를 색채치료프로그램 실시 전,실시 후 그리고 일정기간 경과한 후 3회 실시하였다.색채치료프로그램은 일주일에 한 번씩 하루 두 시간 총 16번의 회기로 진행되었다.뇌졸중환자의 심리적 증상은 색채치료프로그램을 실시하기 전에는 신체화,강박증,대인민감성,우울,불안,적대감,공포불안,편집증,정신증 등 모든 면에서 병리적 수준을 보였다.그러나 색채치료프로그램을 실시한 후에는 이러한 심리적 증상은 호전되었음을 볼 수 있었으나(유의수준 p<0.05),색채치료프로그램을 중단한 후 일정기간이 경과하였을 경우에는 다시 악화되는 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.결론적으로 뇌졸중환자가 의학적 치료를 통해 기능적으로 독립할 수 있을 정도로 회복되었더라도,뇌졸중환자에 대한 정신심리상태를 평가한 후 조기에 그리고 지속적으로 색채치료프로그램을 시행하는 것이 심리적 증상을 향상시킬 수 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The present study was attempted to show the change of psychological symptoms, by applying the color therapy program which uses colors in patientswith stroke. Fourteen patients with stroke who had been considered by their neurosurgeon as having a good recovery or a moderate disability as rated on the Glasgow Outcome Scale were selected and evaluated. The average time elapse between the stroke and the artistic color treatment was at least 6 months. SCL-90R test were conducted for pre-treatment examination in patients relatives separately. This examination was repeated at the end of the color therapy(2 hours per week, total 16 times). Final SCL-90R test was performed 5 months after the last treatment. Patients reported elevated levels of psychological symptoms which are composed of somatization, depression, anxiety, compulsion, paranoia, psychoneurosis, hostility, and fear. The psychological symptoms made better since the color therapy continue to recover(significant level p<0.05).The long-term psychological effects of stroke are considerable who regain functional independence. These results help to inform that treating the patients relatives with the color therapy program should bestarted early and it should be continued.
