사회예술강사의 직업의식과 음악교육적 인식에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회예술강사의 직업의식과 음악교육적 인식 그리고 그들의 요구 등을 구체적으로 밝히는데 있다. 지금까지의 연구는 주로 사회 통계학적 방법으로 예술강사 지원 방법과 운영에 중점을 두었기 때문에 직업의식에 대한 질적연구를 통한 예술강사의 음악교육적 인식은 기존의 조사에서 얻을 수 없는 또 다른 의의를 시사한다. 따라서 본고에서는 사회 복지시설에서 음악교육을 행할 때 나타날 수 있는 긍정적·부정적 심리적인 변화를 탐색함으로써 상호작용과 소통을 통한 보다 효율적인 운영방법을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로는 질문지법과 심층면접를 실시하였다. 연구의 참여자는 아동음악분야의 사회예술강사로 활동하고 있는 강사 중 이 연구에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 9명으로 하였다. 연구의 결과를 연구문제별로 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회예술강사의 직업의식은 음악교육 전문가로서의 자긍심은 높았으나, 이 일에 대해 몰입의 정도는 낮았다. 둘째, 사회예술강사의 음악교육적 인식은 교육과정과 특수학생의 대처능력, 매체활용과 수업전략 등에 대한 부족함을 느끼고 있었다. 셋째, 사회예술강사들의 요구는 다양한 교수-학습의 전략들을 배울 수 있는 연수기회를 바라고 있었으며, 좀 더 안정된 직업인으로써 생활할 수 있도록 현실적인 처우개선이 필요하다고 하였다. 대부분의 연구 참여자들은 사회복지시설에서 하는 교육에 대하여 어려움은 있으나 학생들에게서 음악에 대한 잠재력과 긍정적인 변화를 발견하기도 하여, 자신들의 일에 대한 강한 책임감이 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to specifically clarify community arts educators professional consciousness, consciousness of music education, and demands. Thereby this study aims to operate an efficient music program through interaction and communications with community arts educators by exploring their positive and negative psychological changes which may appear by conducting music education in social welfare facilities. This study carried out a survey and in-depth interviews using a qualitative research method. The participants of this study were 9 community arts educators in children s music area who were able to actively take part in this study. The discussion on the results of this study by each research issue is as follows. First, community arts educators had high self-esteem as music education professionals in relation to their professional consciousness. Second, regarding their consciousness of music education community arts educators passion for arts education was high but they were lacking in skills to teach music including teaching-learning methods and methods to instruct exceptional students and capabilities to cope with difficulties which occurred when they instructed students. Third, as for community arts educators demands, they wanted a two to three year continuous contract in which their dispatched facilities could be changed every year and wanted opportunities to study diverse teaching-learning strategies. They also responded that they needed realistic improvement of labor conditions so that they can live more stably as community arts educators. Most participants had difficulties with education in facilities, but found students potential and unlimited possibilities of music. They were positive about their work and had strong responsibility.
