빅데이터 분석을 통해 본 ‘클래식 음악

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 클래식 음악의 대중화를 위하여 클래식 음악에 대한 대중들의 이미지와 생각들을 과학적으로 분석하여 제시하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 2008년과 2013년의 빅데이터를 활용하여 클래식 음악에 대한 대중들의 연상 이미지, 연관 인물 그리고 여론성향을 비교 분석 하였으며, 그 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2008년과 2013년 대중들의 클래식 음악에 대한 공통된 이미지를 관찰 할 수 있었으며, 특히, 2008년에는 TV 드라마 ‘베토벤 바이러스’는 대중들에게 클래식 음악에 대해 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 둘째, 클래식 음악에 연관되어 나타난 대표적 클래식 음악인은 베토벤으로 그 외 모차르트, 바흐, 슈베르트, 헨델의 순서로 이는 2008년과 2013년에 동일하게 나타났었다. 또한, 대중들은 베토벤과 함께 모차르트를 가장 많이 생각하였고, 그 외 바흐, 슈베르트를 생각하였다. 셋째, 2008년과 2013년 클래식 음악에 대한 여론 성향은 부정적 성향에 비해 상대적으로 높은 긍정적 여론 성향이 나타났으며, 2008년보다 2013년의 긍정적 여론 성향이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 본 연구는 대중들의 생각을 알아보기 위해 설문이나 자료를 만들어 데이터를 분석, 수집하는 기존의 연구방법과 달리 이미 저장된 데이터를 소셜 매트릭스(Social Metrics) 프로그램을 이용하였다. 이를 통해 정보 추출 및 내용 분석후, 결과를 다양한 각도로 재해석하여 의미 있는 결과를 과학적으로 도출하였다는데 그 의의를 둔다. 또한 본 연구의 정확한 데이터를 통한 클래식 음악에 대한 연관 이미지와 인물, 그리고 여론 성향은 클래식 음악의 대중화를 위한 기초적인 자료로서 그 역할을 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study was to examine concepts, musicians, and opinions that were related to the term ‘classical music’ in two different years, 2008 and 2013, as reflected in Bigdata. There were three results. First, in both 2008 and 2013, people associated many of the same words with ‘classical music.’ In particular, in 2008, people associated ‘classical music’ with the popular drama ‘Beethoven Virus, which was about classical music, and it provided with positive effects on classical music. Second, this research shows that the most frequently mentioned classical musicians mentioned in relation to classical music in 2008 and 2013 were Beethoven, followed by Mozart, Bach, Schubert, and Handel. Last, in both time frames, people expressed opinions that were positive as opposed to negative or neutral, to describe ‘classical music.’ The comparison of differences in people s opinions about or reaction to ‘classical music’ in 2008 and 2013 showed that the propensity to hold positive opinions associated with ‘classical music increased and that the increased positivity was statistically significant with respect to ‘classical music.’ The study was meaningful since it was conducted based on Bigdata as well as since it was able to extract meaningful word associations through this large data set and analyze the content. From this, the researcher was able to use bigdata, interpret the results, and draw scientific conclusions, which is a relatively new research method. In addition, this study provides a basic database for educators and others who want to promote ‘classical music.
