상상력 개발 측면에서 초급 단계 피아노 교재의 보완 방향과 교수 방법에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초급 단계의 피아노 교육에서 아이들의 상상력을 자극하고 개발시키기 위하여 교재 측면의 보완 방향과 구체적인 교수 방법을 제시하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 그동안 음악 교육에 있어서 상상력의 중요성을 강조한 많은 연구들이 있었음에도 불구하고 초급 단계의 피아노 교재들 속의 상상력 학습은 상당히 제한된 범위 내에서 이루어졌다. 무언가를 상상해보도록 유도하는 학습 자체가 결여된 교재들도 상당수 있었으며 상상의 내용이나 대상도 한정되어 있음을 살펴볼 수 있다. 무엇보다 상상력의 학습이 전적으로 교사의 몫으로 남겨져 있어 교사나 학부모를 위한 자세한 지침이 결여되어 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제점에 착안하여 초급 과정의 피아노 교육에서 아이들의 상상력을 향상시키기 위하여 교재의 보완 방향을 짚어보았고, 상상력을 발달시키는 구체적인 교수 방법을 모색하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 초급 과정의 피아노 교재 분석을 통하여 상상력 학습의 보완 방향을 찾아보았으며, 유아들을 위한 음악이외의 다른 교재들 속에서의 상상력 학습이 어떻게 다루어지는지를 분석하였다. 그리고 이를 통해 얻어진 자료들을 기초로 하여 피아노 교육에서의 응용 및 활용 가능성을 탐색해보았다. 그 결과 ‘만약’이라는 가정 상황의 적용, 의성어 및 의태어의 활용, 고정 관념의 탈피 등 7가지 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 피아노 학습에서 음악적 상상력을 동원하는 다양한 교수 방법의 모색을 통하여 새로운 교재 연구와 교수법 연구를 촉진시켰다는데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to provide ways of making up the piano books for beginners and the teaching methods in order to develop children s imagination in the beginning piano level. There was much research on emphasizing the importance of imagination in music education. However, the study of imagination in the beginning piano lesson has been taught in very limited ranges. Even, there are many piano books for beginners which do not deal with the study of imagination. Besides, the contents or objects of imagination are very limited. Most of all, it is totally considered as a role of teacher to teach imaginative thoughts and as a result there are few guidelines for teachers and parents. This study recognized this kind of problem and explored the ways of supplementing the piano books for beginners with regards to developing children s imagination and suggested the specific teaching methods. The Study analyzed some piano books for beginners and explored the ways of making up the missing points in the piano books for beginners. Also, the study analyzed how the imagination has been dealt with in other fields of books and materials except for music. Based on the results getting from the above, the study explored the possibilities of utilizing those methods in the piano lesson. As a result, the study suggested seven methods including the application of what-if situation, using onomatopoeic or mimetic words, and getting away from the fixed ideas etc. The study can be valued in that it expedited studies on teaching materials and methods to new direction in order to improve imagination in earlier piano studies.
