또래와의 놀이활동이 발달지체 아동의 사회적 상호작용 행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 의사소통 및 사회성 발달지체를 지닌 아동의 긍정적인 사회적 상호작용 행동을 증진시키기 위하여 비장애 또래와 함께 하는 놀이활동 프로그램을 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하는 것이었다. 적용 프로그램은 일반초등학교 통합교과에 나오는 여러 가지 활동중심 놀이 중 신체적 접촉이 빈번한 활동을 선정하여 수정?구안한 것이었다. 발달지체아동 3명과 비장애 또래 3명에게 1:1활동과 협동활동을 병행하여 총 12주 동안 주 2~3회, 1회당 30분씩 중재를 실시하였다. 연구설계는 대상자간 중다기초선 설계방법을 사용하여 기초선, 중재, 일반화, 유지단계 순으로 구성하였다. 사회적 상호작용 행동은 긍정적 시작행동, 긍정적 반응행동. 고립행동으로 제한하였으며, 각 행동 측정은 조작적 정의에 따라 매회 10분간 15초 간격을 등간기록법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 비장애 또래와 함께 하는 활동 프로그램에 참여한 3명의 발달지체 아동들은 정도의 차이는 있으나 대체적으로 긍정적인 행동변화를 보였다. 즉, 긍정적인 시작행동과 긍정적인 반응행동은 증가하였고, 고립행동은 감소되었다. 이렇게 변화된 행동은 다른 상황에서도 일반화되었으며, 중재 종료 7주 후까지 유지되었다. 이러한 결과는 비장애 또래와 함께 하는 놀이활동 프로그램이 발달지체아동의 긍정적 사회적 상호작용 행동 형성에 효과적인 중재방법 중의 하나로 사용될 수 있으며, 일반초등학교의 교과적 수정을 통한 실제적인 연구가 가능함을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of play-based activity programs with peers without disabilities on the positive social interactions of children with delays in communication and social development. The program was developed by selecting activities that contained frequent physical contact from integrated subjects of regular elementary school curriculum and then the chosen activities were revised for use with children with developmental delays. For the purpose of this study, three boys with developmental delays and three boys without delays were selected. The intervention program was implemented twice or three times a week for 12 weeks. Each session lasted thirty minutes. The research design used in this study was multiple baseline design across subjects. Data were collected in observation using interval-recording method for 10 minutes in each session by 15 seconds interval (observation for 10 seconds, recording for 5 seconds) according to the definition of social interaction behaviors. As a result, all three children with developmental delays somehow showed positive changes of social interactions. That is, increases in both positive social initiations and positive social responses and decreases in isolations were demonstrated and these changes were generalized to regular classrooms and were maintained for 7 weeks after the intervention was ended. These results showed that the play-based activity program with peers without disabilities was one of the effective intervention strategies to promote positive social interactions of children with delays in communication and social development. In addition, this study suggested that practical research through revising elementary school curriculum was promising alternatives to promote social interactions of children with developmental delays.
