국문 초록

연구 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 예비 목회자인 신학생들이 중도 이탈 없이 자신의 진로를 안정적으로 유지하는 데 필요한 요소를 확인하고, 이를 지원하는 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 본 연구에서는 예비 목회자인 신학생의 사회적 지지와 진로 동기의 관계를 연구하였다. 특히 사회적 지지가 진로 동기에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 신학과와 신학대학원에 재학 중인 학생 193명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 사회적 지지 상하위집단의 진로 동기 차이를 분석하고, 회귀분석을 통해 사회적 지지의 하위 변인이 진로동기 하위변인에 대한 미치는 설명력을 검토하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 사회적 지지 수준에 따른 상하위 집단 차이 분석 결과, 사회적 지지 상위집단이 하위집단에 비해 진로 동기에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 또한, 사회적 지지의 하위 변인 중 정서적 지지가 진로 동기 하위 변인에 대해 가장 높은 설명력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 예비 목회자인 신학생에게 정서적 지지가 중요한 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였으며, 이를 통해 교수, 부모 그리고 교회의 목사와 성도들이 예비 목회자에 대한 정서적 지지의 중요성을 인식하고 실천하는 것이 중요함을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose of Research: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors necessary for prospective pastors (theological students) to maintain their career paths stably without dropping out and to propose measures to support these factors. Research Contents and Methods: This study analyzes the impact of social support on the career motivation of prospective pastors. To achieve this, a study was conducted with 193 students enrolled in undergraduate theology programs and theological seminaries. Differences in career motivation between groups with varying levels of social support were examined, and regression analysis was performed to assess the explanatory power of the sub-variables of social support on the sub-variables of career motivation. Conclusion and Suggestions : The analysis of differences between groups with varying levels of social support revealed that the group with high social support demonstrated significantly higher career motivation than the group with low social support. Furthermore, among the sub-variables of social support, emotional support exhibited the highest explanatory power for the sub-variables of career motivation. This study confirms the significant influence of emotional support on prospective pastors, emphasizing that professors, parents, pastors, and lay leaders in churches must recognize and actively practice emotional support for theological students.
